Capitalization please.
It makes your posts hard to read like an adult.

What I'm gathering is you believe people who wear MAGA hats need to virtue signal to appease a bunch of perpetually offended collectivist who believe in guilt by association. Sound about right?

Meanwhile still supporting groups like BLM.

And the woman's march no doubt.

Listen.
You can say whatever you want about conservatives, MAGA, and republicans. But until the left starts actually acknowledging it's own skeletons modern progressives(collectivests) are destined to fail and go down as being histories biggest hypocrites.

Do you really wanna be a part of that train wreck?

If you take the MAGA symbolism down to it’s bones you would see that it is merely a rorschach. Though intentionally meant to rally a cross section of the country that mainly exists in the Republican Party. I do believe it to be a symbol of nationalism at its core, with a secondary caveat as a race/cultural based political dog whistle.

It’s not a symbol of unity for sure. Intentional or not. Now Trump new that his policies as President would anger a lot of powerful interests. Globalists, corporatists, immigrant special interests funded by the first two and finally voter hungry liberals. His entire agenda is being undermined by BIG money interests.

His interference with mass immigration, global trade, women’s rights issues and to a lesser extent the dismantling of main stream American culture is why he is under so much heat.

i'm sure this isn't a genuine question asked in hope of an answer to enlighten, but here we go;

it's a dog whistle. the words themselves don't matter, it's the will of the group behind the words.
just like every single other motto held up by any other group in the history of history.
MAGA just seems to be one that, fair or not, has attracted a lot of attention as a rallying point for overt racists.

I cannot believe we agree! Yes it is amazing how the progressive racists have rallied this racist cry over a simple baseball cap and simple slogan. I am just amazed that more do not see this truth too! kudos to you for admitting this truth.

we still suffer from colonial genocide, the lands, plants, herbs, have been destroyed, taking over with industrialisation and corporate over comsumption, the fast-moving ecocide, the forced assimilation, we still suffer from all that, not to mention being tossed on Reservations, and the included stereotypical bigotry and discrimination we still face, and NOT from only white, or right, or "MAGA hats"

and my point still stands to regress back to a "great" part in "america" is a subjective act, it is an empty statement

Yes, our ancestors overcame those things and survived and here we are as a result of their courage and steadfastness! Instead of carrying that load of baggage you've been handed, blaming the entire country for wrongs done a century ago, put on your big boy pants, build yourself a lodge and figure out how to be like your ancestors who actually survived those terrible times. You have resources they never even dreamed about.

And don't you for one minute try to insinuate that the same "stereotypical bigotry" of which you speak doesn't happen between native nations because I've seen myself. There are racists in every nation. Refuse to let them control you. You have no control over them, only over your own reaction and when you react negatively they have gained control over you.

Yep, easier said than done. Your response is also disingenuous.

Just look at your own response. Your concerned with
someone pointing out certain past injustices in this country. Obviously him doing so concerns you to a degree. (Or are you just really so concerned about his happiness and well being?). I mean, come on. Your bothered by people pointing out something negative about a country who’s founding principle is Freedom of Speech. We are a country founded on grievances.

Yet you expect this person to pull up his big boy pants and forget about it. Face it, this country literally owes its existence due to crimes against humanity. People where literally murdered quasi legally up until the 1960’s. The only group that could have taken that kind of abuse for a century, would be one that was terrorized into submission due to brutal, monstrous level chattel slavery. 80% of humanity is descended from slaves. Chatel slavery was not only recent, but the worst method of slavery in all of human history. Freed slaves where a broken group of human beings, otherwise even a population with a 9:1 population advantage never would have subjugated for a century. Even slave traders dared not venture to far into the Congo to skip the middleman.

All done just a few hundred years ago. Even the vicious Romans, Egyptians or cavemen for that matter, never exercised such a thorough and grotesque undertaking. Attempting to rip the core humanity out of a human being. And on such a grand level. I would be sick to my stomach before feeling any sort of superiority from this history.

We're in a different era nowadays. I don't mean to sound unsympathetic to anyone, but you can either get over it and move on with your life or spend the rest of your life playing a victim as your post suggest. Most minorities I know that are successful have moved onward and forward with their life's. They don't sit around wallowing in a poopy diaper of self pity about things that happened many decades ago. This doesn't mean that we have to shut the door on the past and pretend it never happened, but at some point in order to have a healthy and prosperous future, people must move on.

The Democratic Party is a perfect example of people that want to live their lives as a victim. It's all they seem to have and has basically become their sole message and battle cry. It's a rather pathetic existence if you ask me.

MAGA: a symbol of hate

That’s what thick people think.

Cheers cnn. Easily manipulating the easily manipulated. It’s a good thing they’re a tiny minority.

Six more years of MAGA left without a shadow of doubt. Once again, thanks to cnn.

Another one that fits the current political climate

Worth pondering no matter your bend, more Government ordering us what to do against our wishes and Constitutional Rights like the D' and RINO's want, or less Gov intrusions of your Rights like the Libertarian and Conservatives want?

Unfortunately, a large part of "MAGA" is selfishness, discrimination, and marginalization of minority groups (Hispanics, Muslims, LGTB*, etc) while stoking fear of "the other," the other being those groups.

That's the problem with MAGA.

Facts are not your strong suit are they?

Projected lies concerning what those people want are going to backfire on the liars. REPEATING those lies, will only hurt the person ignorant enough to do it. I don't have one but am tempted to get one. It looks too CableGuy for my style but I like the sentiment. America is an experiment in allowing self rule. MAGA means that to me.

I'm not sure how you got superiority out of my post. I'm begging people to seek balance in their lives because carrying negative baggage around just makes life harder. My grandmother, whose grandmother died on Long March, pointed out to me that carrying around resentment towards a man long dead (Andrew Jackson) was a complete waste of my time. In telling the poster to build a lodge and find a way to bury the past I was simply passing along the advice I got from elders, elders who had a far harder time than anyone today.

Sure I remember the bad times of the '50s and '60s. It was no picnic but as I pointed out in my first post, it was a time when we believed in ourselves and we believed we could build the best society based on freedom of opportunity. Yes, there were clashes in the streets over the war. Those of us marching sometimes got beaten, knocked down by fire hoses and attacked by dogs. Those of us who lived in Memphis or Nashville or several other cities across the south in 1968 have quite vivid memories of living under martial law. Nobody would say that ours was a perfect society. But had we not gone through those things---we would not be the people we are today.

I remember seeing images on tv of the military escorting black students into white schools. But there was none of that in my system because it had been integrated for at least a decade. No police or military required.

I remember the killings, the heartbreak of watching JFK Jr. salute his Dad, the mourning families of Rev. King and Bobby. National Guard troops with machine guns on every main intersection in downtown Nashville.

But those are not the memories I cherish. I chose to remember the celebrations we held with each new victory in the fight for civil rights and the ending of the war. The passage of the Clean Water Act renewed our trust in a system we had begun to fear was broken. We learned that if we put our differences aside and worked toward a goal upon which we could agree, we could move mountains. I sometimes wonder how much more could have been accomplished had the US government kept it's nose out of the protest movements.

I like to remember how much fun it was that we could go swimming again after we'd filed through the gym and taken our magic sugar cube to protect us from polio.

One of my favorite memories is of my brother and his buddies building rockets and dreaming of working on the space program. The fun of watching him follow that dream right down to Cape Kennedy. Another who learned to fly and had his dream Alaskan adventure as a pipeline pilot.

Why is it that we can't admit that every powerful society has been built with the practices of conquest and slavery? Ours in the US is shorter than most. That doesn't make it right or good, it's just a fact. When the country was founded slavery was debated hotly and the slave holders and traders won the day. Less than a hundred years later we did a violent turnabout and outlawed it. It took another fifty years for women to gain the vote. Nobody is claiming that we've arrived at that perfect society with hands free of dirt and blood. We're just flawed human being trying to encourage that tide that lifts all boats.

MAGA is a symbol of hate from the dems not for them - The left party is like any lying POS emoticons - blame shift and put all of thier own bias on some other group so no one looks at where its coming from.

It's like the old tale of white racism - I have never heard racism in my life like I have consistently from black people who vote democrat - I've probably been called every white racist name there is numerous times, which I think is kinda cute and laugh cuz as Chris Rock said "sticks and stones, their credit score will never hurt me"

Liberals are just stupid sheep. Clearly "Make America Great Again" is an allusion to the fact that once we were the only Super Power and the financial melting pot where every country in the world came to do business. As a result, a lot of people became wealthy and America was considered "great". Although there have always been haters, back then it could not be denied that America was on top, therefore the greatest.

The world is on a more evil keel now, in that, most all countries now suck...including America. However, it was the Liberals and all of their evil antics and selfishness that made it that way. All the media campaigns to confuse people, to change laws that only take care of the minorities while ignoring the rest of the country, the collusion between the Liberals and the FBI, NSA and CIA to destroy a sitting President (no respect for our country), by letting illegal immigrants (they're undocumented because they don't have documents, which means they're in the US illegally idiots) feed off of our Food Stamps and other services that other REAL citizens have to pay for....by working, by letting illegal immigrants who murder people out of prison and back into society, while locking up real citizens for things like marijuana and sticking them in cells with hardened criminals for up to 20 years or more, letting migrants have free housing, a monthly allowance for doing nothing at all and even Food Stamps on top of that...while letting our Military men starve in the streets etc. and even thought the Liberals started the damn wall (and Slavery itself I might add) at the border and there are videos of Pelosi and Obama calling for a wall to keep those "troublemakers" out of our country, it wasn't until Trump wanted the same thing that the decided that it was a bad idea. They also believe that murdering babies is a good thing and that those who are "Pro-Life" are the evil ones. Pro-Life are people who believe that others deserve to live the same as us all. THAT is a bad thing to Liberals. They only want death for future people. I have only scratched the surface.

The Liberals messed our country up and because they want everything handed to them on a silver platter, while others have to work for it, and then they mock and oppress those who do the work, while accusing the Conservatives and anyone else that doesn't agree with them as racist, xenophobic, anti this anti that and many other buzzwords that we hear over, and over and over just to ruffle some feathers. All while being the racists, xenophobes themselves.

So, MAGA isn't racist in the least, it's just a Liberal ploy and one of the many buzzwords that they use as an umbrella term for anyone that doesn't agree with their point of view. They chant mantra's of " all inclusiveness" and "acceptance" but leave out key supporting meanings like ...unless you are a Conservative or disagree with them in any way...then YOU are not included.

Liberals only believe America was never great because CNN and MSNBC told them that and they don't have any brains of their own to think for themselves.

wow, could never have predicted the phrase virtue signalling was going to be coming up, you guys really are bursting with the fresh takes aren't you? and there's no need for the "ohhhh so you believe..." because i told you real straight up what i believe and i'll tell you again:

if you don't like the group you're affiliated with being called racist, you must work to change that perception.

if you won't put any hard work into being seen in a better light, you have no grounds to criticise how people see your group.

it doesn't matter what anyone else does or how hypocritical they are or how 'unfair' the whole thing is, that just makes you look like a baby who won't work to change. again: complaining about others does nothing to help your own image.
if you want your image to be better you have to do better things.

or aternatively, if you don't care or if that's too much hard work, stop complaining about being called a racist group. easy.

Actually the fringe left is just sooooo jealous of the fact that Trump actually has slogan that has been embraced by a goodly number of people. They are at a loss to understand so they attack. Their slogans are all negative. He's offering opportunity while all they can offer is "NO!" or simply a demented "call to action in the streets."
