To be honest - your statement underlines the problem that poisons debate in the US. A "far left doctor" is the only person you think capable of doing this work just introduces crass politics. The fact is that money talks, and you don't have to be "far left" to lack empathy and conscience.

I think the vast majority of doctors or medical professionals, regardless of their political colours, would find the OPs proposition an affront to their profession, and against their core principles as carers.

To be even more honest, you need to open your eyes. Far left ideology has seeped into the noblest of professions, unfortunately; judges, teachers, doctors, scientists, politicians (should be noble but isn't), ... Sure, money is linked, but it's ideology that seems to be taking priority over law, integrity and professionalism. It's a far left ideology that has brought about this bill in the first place.

Deflecting from the actual issue renders debate pointless, poisonous or otherwise. For clarity, the actual issue is quite clearly that radicals have grabbed positions of signifciant power over people's lives and outcomes, such as making it legal to kill a baby at 9 months from conception if a Doctor deems there is a health issue for the mother. That is madness and radical.

First, they restrict guns, then they issue a license to kill for every woman in the state.



What were they thinking?

This will end up in the Supreme court at some point, progressive New Yorkers advocate the genocide of the unwanted unborn, not protecting the most vulnerable members of society.

Going back to the days of the pagans thousands of years ago people use to sacrifice their children to false gods, today they do the same, that god is now under the guise of "free choice".....pathetic, immoral and sad all at the same time.

Someone who's wife and unborn are murdered and who wants the murderer to have to take on two murder penalties.

No, it doesn't. This is somewhere between legitimate concern and fake news.

The bill (if you read it) still has language regarding 24 weeks. Mothers have always had the ability to abort if their life is threatened (right-wing fear mongering).

The only thing that has changed is the addition of "Health" reasons; as this word is not clearly defined within the bill, it must be challenged to clarify. Sorry, but apocalyptic analysis of what the "health exemption really means doesn't do anything but stir the pot and add more misinformation into the mix.

Those cases would address that provision of the law. It might take a different one for the late term abortion part.

Doctors have an oath to do no harm. There’s plenty of incubators available. And people waiting to adopt...

Maybe the point is having something that is completely defenseless and relies on moral responsible adults to educate them to survive on their own. When they are able to make their own choices, then reality should teach through self responsibility and self accountability. Kind of hard to give that poor soul a chance to live on their own if you murder them in the womb, no?

If you aren't capable of handling the responsibilities of the act, maybe it should be refrained from. Sounds like a might price to pay for simple convenience. The other few scenarios of a possible legit case are a drop in the ocean. Very slippery slope.

The reverence for emerging life was diminished back in the 70's. This NY step just adds to that cavalier approach.

People that understand, see this for what it is. They use abortion synonymously with "women's reproductive health".

They expand "women't reproductive health" to include her mental state and social well-being. It is no longer just about physical matters or the presence of disease.

In the NY abortion laws, you don't even have to be a doctor now to perform abortions. All you have to be is a licensed health care practioner.

If he/she makes the decision that the pregnant woman's life OR HEALTH (including mental and or social well-being) is in jeopardy, that practioner may perform an abortion AFTER the normal 24 weeks up to and including the ninth month.

If I have any of that wrong, please correct me. This has sickened many people across America. This is why people protest abortion. One inch becomes a mile.

I have always believed something dark was opened back in the early 70's, and now that darkness is on a rampage hellbent on not only snuffing out new emerging life, but life that has reached full potential.

What's next with some of these women? If it's a boy, abort!!?
