I just thought I better add some more info to what I said as it is a little contentious. In the Koran Mohammad's death is referred to. May I refer you
to the Wiki Islam site for details as much as is known. There are many other places to find information about this, but I chose this one because it is
an Islamic source and I wanted to be as fair as I can be,

There are many ancient sources. The Koran does not specifically mention poisoning, but many well respected ancient Islamic sources do and they are
multiple. I recall recently an Islamic scholar got in trouble for saying that Mohammad was poisoned by a Jewish woman. Should all the Islamic scholars
be in trouble for saying it and me too? It is written about in a number of texts sacred to Islam. I am not blaming any culture, just stating what I
have studied from the past. It might not be currently politically correct, but it is an honest statement of my current knowledge.
Also, regarding Joseph Smith here is a desription about his death. Draw what conclusion you may like regarding that,

I am not judging the Mormons, but they certainly do have a very strange version of Christianity that is not from the Gospels. I would describe them as
gnostic.
www.bbc.co.uk...
"Mormons believe God(s) and human beings are of the same basic stuff but at different levels of progressive development. Everything that is, has
always existed. There was no initial 'creation'."
Mormon doctrine is anti-abortion. The church is also opposed to gay marriage and believes homosexuality is a sin. Unmarried sexual acts, pornography,
gambling, tobacco, consuming alcohol, tea, coffee, and the use of drugs are also frowned upon.
According to the church, Joseph Smith received a revelation from God in the 1820s - first through an angel, and then through a book inscribed on
golden plates. He then translated the plates into the Book of Mormon."
As far as I can see these extra bits are from Smith's and his followers' own imagination,

I have included this info so you know I am not writing flippantly. I keep well away from anything that distorts the Gospels or adds anything to them.
I do not attend the churches for that reason because they all have their own version and there is the concern of being preached to by somebody who is
corrupt, false teachers and prophets who only pay lip service and even skew that, as we have witnessed concerning all the child abuse among priests,
bishops, etc and their willingness to back even corrupt dicators and leaders if and when it suits. My belief and faith in Jesus and the Prophets is
all I have that is unblemished and sacred and I use my intellect to try and keep it that way. It requires staying alert.
Even the Jehovah's Witnesses have their own version. They say that Adam will not be resurrected and some other doctrines that are not found in the
Bible. Did G-D say Adam is damned for all eternity? Are they setting themselves up as judges when they are specifically warned not to be?
I am not goin anywhere near anything that corrupts even slightly whas Jesus said and what is written in the Bible. Revelation clearly points out how
corrupt any form of gnosis is. I learn from the NT and I learn from Judaism too. Judaism has taught me so much about my Christian faith and is of
course the Roots of the Olive Tree of Abraham the Christian Faith is grafted on to. Indeed, my G-D is The G-D of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Yes, ther have been plenty of times when I wanted G-D to be this or that to suit my own wants and desires. G-D is who G-D is. HE is the "I AM" and we
are the "you are" (insert "a brood of vipers here" )! We are clearly told that we are all sinners and require redemption. Why would we need Christ if
we had not sinned?
I have to live my Faith individually. It is a precarious occupation and requires much constant reflection and constant revision as my learning grows.
"Let your teachers be few" for obvious reasons. I would hate to lead anybody else astray. The Bible has a Voice. Let the Bible teach us instead of
compromised versions, redacted for selfish human motives and gain.
