Ok we all agree that we have nothing but contempt for our elected officials and the system they represent.
We all sort of agree that there needs to be a certain amount of direct action/civil disobedience.
But to what end?
Are we going to unite and demand that the democratic wishes of the people must be enacted?
Are we going to unite and demand radical reform of our electoral and parliamentary procedures?
Are we going to unite and demand increased devolved power to all the regions of the UK?
Are we going to unite and demand an end to punitive austerity policies and the under-mining of the NHS, Police and Armed Services?
The simple fact is we aren't going to unite about anything.
We can't unite despite it being blatantly obvious that the political elite's etc are doing everything within their power to undermine the
democratically expressed wish of the people and are playing on peoples fears and differences in order to maintain the status quo and thus their
control on everything.
There was an obvious time when we should have set aside differences etc, that horse has bolted.
Forgive my cynicism and doom-laden attitude today....that's what happens after three days of sobriety!
Hopefully I'll be a bit more upbeat tomorrow.....think it'll be the pub tonight.
