The NHS needs reorganisation more than money ...... starting from PFI.


Just for starters.......

People should be charged for not keeping appointments with both doctors

and hospitals.

Self inflicted drunks clutter the emergency depts of hospitals (mostly weekends)

should be charged.

My grandaughter qualifies as a paramedic this year and on the many placements

she has been on (unpaid) many are to regular and known time wasters.

Theres more but I'm off to watch Baptiste.

Think you mentioned she and others have been going unpaid before.

That's not just tragic but also counterproductive.

It's not really how apprenticeships work eh, call it what you will but that's what her training/work experience on the job amounts to and she should be paid accordingly.

You do a job you should get a wage, simple.

Lol!!! Your preaching to the converted. Her mother and I are furious

whenever things like this come up as we see the long hours she puts in,

and its not even that she shadows.... she has to do the canulating

respertation injecting and everything else. To not being paid is one thing

but she is getting into debt to do so....... ( Lol!!! I'll have to lie down

now to watch my blood preasure)

Agreed even if only nominal wage, because she has to top up

her living expenses with a 12 hour retail shift.
