Used to frequent the site about 10 years ago

Hey guys!

I used to be a fairly active member here about 10 10-15 years ago, but I could not remember my username......email address was not enough to change password and username (if any mods can help with that, I would love to be back in my old account]

I live in Los Angeles and have for the last 25 years been into this kind of stuff, for lack of better words.

Hello and welcome back!

I used to hack into the site back then on grampa's T 1 line....wild times. Sorta remember somebody from LA complaining bout the traffic. U know alot of celebs or musicians around there.

Good lord i am right there with you. Why is this site so slow on mobile ?!?! Seriously fix that . Yeah its been about 10 years for me too... ahhh what happened? Can i say? Am I allowed to talk about it? Their wasnt any swearing or violence or threats involved but a thing did happen... am I allowed to speak about it? Well im gonna. Lets see where the chips fall. It involved my private messages being read by mods and disapproved of because i was talking to others here I considered friends about talking about and investing time at other sites other than this one. Now that policy may of changed in the last ten years and i hope it has. Cause we should have the freedom to tell our buddies " hey we are doing this new thing over here come check it out if you want to"


Other then that... i fat fingered a button. I didnt want to start a new thread but the misclick happened and i saw that i could but a message was there and that was neat . So i take it i dont have to make 20 posts before thread creation now.. that is progress. And the message was sound and good. Contribute something worth contributing in a nutshell. Good stuff ...... so it has been... 10...ni maybe more like 8 years... almost a decade.

So i am teantivly putting my toe back into these waters to see how it feels.

I rarely cussed, i never threatened violence, im hoping that it was a different place back then and the social norms have changed to something better. We shall see i suppose .

Welcome back. You can probably directly ping a mod about getting help with your former username, though my gut tells me without access to that original email account you'll likely get nowhere as privacy rules go.

ATS is far more political now, and it gets tiresome but it appears that's what the majority of folks want now. The archives are still intact and if you post to am older thread you can bring it back to life. And if you get off the front page and into the forums you can avoid the political dredgery and find good stuff. Happy hunting.
