The video was created by NASA employee Kevin M. Gill , he used Cassini images to create a gif which shows Io and Europa as they orbit their gas giant home planet in what appears to be a race across the Great Red Spot.

The silent majesty of our neighbors laid bare for us all to observe.

The moons passing would have to be really cool if obsessed from the surface of one of them. I didn’t know they were so close in orbit. What are the chances of collision?

Fricking Awesome, cheers for vid

This is what we as a race need to be doing more of, space the final front ear

Why would the moon farthest from the planet be the fastest? maybe a optical illusion?

I was thinking the same thing. The only thing I can think of is mass or retro-gradation.

It's a great video, but:

#1 It's not from NASA

and

#2 it doesn't represent reality (like what a spacecraft would have captured with its camera).

What it really is, is a space enthusiast (and a very capable image editor) playing around with various images captured by the Cassini spacecraft.

In reality, those moons wouldn't be seen over the Great Red Spot like that. In Kevin's own words, it's just an aesthetic experiment.

Ahhhaaa it's the old if you live through a plane crash where do you bury the survivors thing. Nice. Thanks!

Is this real???
Or is it some composite models with high res textures that NASA is using?

If the audio didn't come from Cassini, I could do without it.

Can NASA learn to take the drama down to about a 3? This video is like an 8 at least, with that audio.

If NASA wants to play me some music, how about the Apollo mission, dark side of the moon music?

No?

Then shut up.

Thanks.

"Accuracy will come in later stuff."

Nevermind, this is pure garbage. (Let me rephrase in case Kevin shows up.)

This is "pure garbage" with potential.
Please make your future videos 100% accurate to science, if they can't depict reality at 100% accuracy. Thanks.

Continue.
