A Simple Creed

Love and light both give way to insight.
The enemy is Corruption: Entropy Eternal;
And my greatest weapon is
Conscious attention focused on inspiration
To achieve unity and order.

Even when I am torn asunder,
Still I must keep the faith
And focus myself upon the way
And take up the fight every day
To structure myself and maintain
A constant purpose of progress
Towards creativity and joy
And abundance for all.

This creed to hold my thoughts
And stay intact when I cannot
To be a reminder and a call to action
When I would otherwise forget myself.
This, the enemy that I fight:
The forgetfulness of my mind;
And the laziness, and the depression,
And the weakness, and the pride.
But I myself claim the right to forgiveness
So I cannot deny it to any being
Willing to fight against their blight.

Giving way to insight, so much as I am able,
Keeping love and joy at heart makes me stable
Enough to ignore the whisperings that lead me astray
From the wondrous plans I lay at heart every day;
Born from the thanks I give as I pray
"For strength, wisdom, and courage"
