Congratulations, you figured it out.

Yes, there is no TECHNICAL obstacle to turning this world into paradise for all. With today's technology, people could do one year of work in their whole life, and still live better than the richest people right now, if things were just arranged a bit differently (also psycho-socially, meaning, stop making this world a work-camp and expect everyone to work and want to work - ROBOTS can do the work, HUMAN BEINGS can do so much better things!)

If everyone had to just work and work while others are dying from not having jobs or homes, there would never have been paintings or sculptures, or philosophy. Spirituality would be difficult to practice comfortably.

This world could technically so easily be providing everyone with everything they need and more - we could all live a luxurious life, traffic could be automated so accidents would be gone (or at least minimized), using sustainable energy (research Joe Bedini and NIkola Tesla's wildest energy inventions to realize how much the establishment is SUPPRESSING functional free energy inventions) and AIMING to make this world a paradise, everything could be turned around in a few years.

But greed, TPTB and their evil agenda, etc. must rule, so the sheeple can't escape into a life of leisure, cultivation, creation, exploration and thought experiments, philosophy, art, and cultivation of social networks and relationships. We have to grind 'for living', as the saying goes. You have to somehow EARN your living?

Why would we be alive if we didn't ALREADY deserve to live? Why would we have to BUY our right to live (especially in a 'free world') from some corporation, that's just an artificial fabrication anyway?

Nothing in this world makes any sense.. but remember the dreams people had in the 1940s and even later; technology and advancements in it, all the 'evolution' like that was suppsoed to LIBERATE and FREE people of the constant working... 8-hour day and 5-day week was supposed to be come like 2-hour day and maybe even 2 or 3-day week, and then even less, until we're all FREE!

Freedom.. that word is thrown around a lot, but then people turn around 180° and start talking about wage slavery as if there's nothing wrong with that. Same people that believe in freedom, believe in enslaving people... even if 'only' through oppression and coercion through money and wages and such.

Wages shouldn't exist, money should be a sidenote.. instaed, it's the CORE thing everyone always talks about and wants, especially americans. They seem to be able to talk endlessly about money.

Yet, when we look at scriptures and other writings, we must realize there's a better way.. if there's a will, there's a way. I suppose there's no will. TPTB has no will because they have an evil agenda. People have no will, because they've been brainwashed to believe in wrong values and fulfilling this agenda (even without realizing what they're doing)..

Same people for the most part, same tech, but different people 'in power', and this world would become a paradise in a few years. It's just that regular people are kept tired so they can't even think straight, and those that know, lack the power, and those that have the power and knowledge, also have an oppressive enslavement agenda. It's an impossible situation..

Why do so many people fight against this progress?

We have been taught and conditioned to think about 'money' and 'employment' and 'progress' only from ONE perspective.

There ARE other perspectives, though, but it's extremely rare to see anyone use them.

It was a common dream in the past that people believed in, where the future would liberate people so people could focus on their own things instead of having to sacrifice days and years of their life for some corporation.

Here is a quote from the 1940s:

"Tomorrow, thanks to the extraordinary advances of science, mankind will at long last be freed from material bondage and will be able to devote itself to the pleasures of the mind!"

It was put a bit bluntly, but also in a rather refreshingly sophisticated way - this was the dream. This was going to be the future.

How did we end up with this dreary mess where tech keeps advancing and yet people are no more liberated - in fact, they're less, because there are more restrictions and cameras everywhere.

Oh well.. one can dream. Somewhere out there, is my perfect Utopia, and I can't wait to return there.. I will certainly never come back to this planet until it has its stuff together and people are free.
