Watched in the theatre when it first came out.

For those younger folk, it's worth watching.

Even today. Great acting, great suspense, even great special effects for a 43 year old film.

Highly recommend!

Just finished watching it. Now at the time, I was greatly disappointed in the movie because it was nothing like the Benchley book.

But on it's own, it's a great film that stands the passage of time.

Before jaws came out , I was fine being in neck deep water....after.....I realized I'm really a chicken in life. Such a let down....I shoulda known huh.....buy Silver rounds twenty at a time on eBay....should have known that about me...when young I was sure I had it in me to parachute for sport!...naw, but my Dad was 101st......

When I was 12 flying Cessnas over Dallas as a student....I was scared stiff.....the turbulence is hard on ya!

Scared stiff of that wing coming off......hehe

At the beach nowadays.... it's knee deep coz I'm a chicken

My favorite film of all time.

The cleaned up Blu-ray release of the film looks fantastic. Been all downhill for that Spielberg guy.

The line that "you're gonna need a bigger boat"...too funny.

I didn't see it in the theater, too young but I think I may have rented it when one could rent VCRs from 7-11...yeah, you used to could do just that.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the shark seem bigger when it passed by the boat the first time that you watched it?
Hmmmm?

Funny how things get smaller with time/age...

It funny what ages well and what doesn't. A Nightmare on Elm St. was a real pants pooper in the day, but now....cringeful.

Huge Robert Shaw fan and Quint is my favorite character, hands down. The Indianapolis story was history that needed sharing badly and his telling of the story is gripping. ' he bobbed up and down in the water like a kind of top, upended - he's been bitten in half below the waist"' - Yikes! Shaw also played a German panzer colonel Hessler in the Battle of the Bulge who fights to the last and nearly wins but we all know how that turned out and Patton's 6th Army kicked the Germans back to the Siegfried line.

Yep, I love Jaws.
Great, great movie and i also don't much care for Dreyfuss though he can be a fantastic actor.
