CDC Task Force Assembled To Address Polio-Like Disease

I have been coming across articles about this mysterious Polio like illness since there were just a few cases on record. Now they are saying there are 273 reported cases of which there are 106 confirmed. I am old enough to have had friends who had Polio in school. I would not wish that on any person much less someone young.

The rare disease affects the nervous system, "specifically the area of the spinal cord called gray matter, which causes the muscles and reflexes in the body to become weak," according to the CDC. Symptoms include a facial droop, arm or leg weakness, difficulty moving the eyes, drooping eyelids and difficulty with swallowing or slurred speech. It appears to start off like a common cold, before victims eventually progress to paralysis.

The states Daily Mail Online is currently aware of with confirmed cases includes: Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas and Washington.

A press officer for the CDC told Daily Mail Online last week that the agency would not be naming the additional states where cases have been confirmed due to 'privacy issues'.

Caused by smart meters I'm thinkin

The new ones maybe.......I'm having pure hail....I covered the meter with a sauce pan which was right there....a week later maybe 10 days the power company came out said they couldn't read it......

My lady next door told them the chicken must of bumped it there.....she said they gave her a look....ha

My symptoms are neuropathy and weak grip big time.....legs won't bend they're weak.....sleep is shot to pieces

There was perfect sleep when the meter was covered.....my buddy in town has the same

Finally getting around to investigating this problem. Guess it took 4 or 5 years to figure out who would get stuck with working.

When they put a Smart meter on my house in the states my electric bill doubled when I was not there and overseas.. From $39 a month with everything shut off except the alarm system and water heater to $79 with the same stuff running. Good for the power company but not so good for me.. Sold house ... I do not like feeling like I am getting ripped off no matter how small the change and luckily I was able to solve the problem.

Reply to GBP/JPY.. Yes I would think it would be wise to try and figure out why and what is causing this illness. I knew a woman that got the flue shot many years ago and within two months she was in a wheel chair diagnosed with Guilian Barre (-1sp) which exhibits some of the same symptoms as Polio.. Maybe just happenstance ?

Some things are just weird and it is hard to point to just one causation..
