Sadly, it's really expensive to make RSO. It takes a lot of "bud" just to get a small amount of the extract. This is why oils and concentrates are so expensive. And I concur, to hell with the law! Though I would say that as I've been a cannabis user for 30 years.

I'm also a C.P. (Chronic Pain) and am prescribed opiates as well for inoperable back/neck issues. I've been on the same dose for 15 years now but I've also been using Cannabis. I've also been using 'Kratom' which helps w/the pain but also My PTSD.

If you can get the cbd, get it. Even without the thc, it has its own benefits.

Here in Canada, now that Cannabis is legal, it’s really hard to find just cbd. We can have it legally anywhere now, only if it has thc in it too. Full on sillyness. Cbd is the pain relief side of things, and it’s a schedule 2 substance, by itself. It used to be the opposite, and just before legalization they went around to the vape and pipe shops, and the vitamin stores, to seize all the cbd.

Doctors here don’t want to prescribe something that we can just go purchase on our own, but for days that arthritic people need to go drive around doing errands, or work days, we want our plain cbd back...

I now have legal weed, and black market cbd 😂😕

THC counteracts the most beneficial aspects of CBD, so the less THC the better. Or so I'm told by people who I would expect should know.

Close, it's CBD that counters THC. While THC is psychoactive, CBD is an antipsychotic, which can have a calming effect on the 'high' created by THC (I hate the word 'high', lol).

THC has a treasure trove of medicinal and therapeutic benefits of its own, and while hile CBD does also, its not the be all and end all that many think it is.

There are also countless other beneficial phytocannabinoids, flavonoids, terpenes and terpenoids produced by
the plant, and these all work together synergistically in a process known as the entourage effect to provide effective relief.

The laws on cultivation have always been weird in this country... Tobacco, cacti, mushrooms. Usually it's the preparation part they get you on but it depends on the product/substance. It's kinda all over the place tbh.

Not quite. Her husband is a senior exec in an investment firm called Capital International Group. This company is a 22% shareholder in GW pharmaceuticals which produces medical cannabis for the US market. Capital International is one of the largest investment firms in the World and has shares in many companies including Amazon, BAE and Starbucks.

So no, he doesn't have a special license from the PM to grow weed. His company doesn't produce it. He is a senior executive in an investment firm which is simply a share holder in a different company which does.

Even if he did own such a company, it is outside the PMs remit to make up special licences for such activities. The UK has governmental checks and balances for this. It isn't like the US where they can just sign an executive order to pass their own legislation. It has to go through the House.

Whats of greater importance is the question why is there a sudden interest by medical interests in the medicinal qualities of street drugs and cannabis in particular.

The answer is, is that we are going to go cashless in a few years time and in order to do that they must first legalise street drugs. Cannabis is the first.

The reason they have to legalise street drugs is because if they remain ILLEGAL then its a simple process to just get the name of a street dealer, go into their cashless transaction records and identify the area dealer. By the going into his financial records they can then easily identify the bloke up the list. By the simple process of following a financial transaction, they can technically speaking by using financial records, go all the way to the very top which from what I read is the CIA.

Now; We cant have that becoming common knowledge can we? See, you know why they are suddenly discovering all the health benefits of street drugs.

don't be surprised if big Pharma ends up owning Cannibs - but by then it will be known by another medical name so as to "clean" the drug and the drug company/s who own/s it.

perhaps the problem is that the marijuana industry is not following standard pharmaceutical practices. that is having reps go around to the doctors, giving them free samples to hand out, kickbacks for prescribing their drugs and trips and conferences paid for the doctors in nice vacation spots. after all where is the incentive for a doctor to prescribe it, when if the prescribe other drugs they earn from it. by prescribing marijuana in place a pharmaceutical drugs, they are cutting off their own extra income and perks.

My chemo and radiotherapy left me with tinnitus and a dry mouth that cause me problems sleeping, and cbd oil has helped a lot with that.

The general opinion seems to be that high street cbd is not strong enough to have an effect, but the deeper and less interrupted sleep, the funky dreams and the grogginess in the morning I have tell me otherwise.

The problem is that there is an awful lot of nonsense talked about it, and a lot of completely unjustified and unproven claims made that cloud the true picture. Its interaction with other drugs used as part of treatment is also unknown, so of course medical professionals can't endorse it yet.

It's also not without its problems and these are unknown at present. I'm beginning to suspect that the chillie like tingle that goes with it aggravates the area under treatment, causing it to be more sore so I'm trying Valerian as a substitute which also seems to help.

All that you can reasonably say is that it works for some people with some things. Try it and see.

Weed is cheaper. Have some fun with it as well

I'll also add that a lot of the claims being made about the benefits of cbd are coming from people making a lot of money from it. The shop from which we bought some that sold only cbd products was making extravagant claims that could not possibly have any proof yet, however good the anecdotal evidence.

If you are the kind of person who distrusts 'Big Pharma' (and I am not) then you should be just as sceptical of 'Big Cannabis'. Just because you find the nature of the drug more appealing doesn't mean there aren't vested interests after your cash.
