Or, the Dems will begin to investigate.

It will be especially poigniant after Trump has thrown money, resources and troops at the issue if the 'threat' turns out to be almost entirely manufactured.

And with the aging and low birth rate of Americans, who is going to fund the retirement of those hundreds of millions of retirees?

And all of these illegals we let in will most likely have to start paying in social security some time in the future so when they retire benefits will have to be paid to them. What will have been gained? Either now or then, the end result will be the same.

Compare the birth statistics and the average age of migrants. An influx of migrants, can be good for economic growth but you have to make them work in society, Declaring them illegals (just because) doesn't help them participate.

Sure thing, block the bad ones, scrutinize them critically and reject them for the slightest infraction, but being South American and/or dirt poor is not a good reason.

The vast majority are ready and willing to work and contribute. The evidence of walking for thousands of miles so they can improve their situation is fairly compelling.

This may be getting off subject but...

Just how long can the planet sustain continued growth? At some point resources will become limited and growth will plateau and begin to regress. We are almost there now but you expect growth to continue forever? That isn't in the cards long term. Globalists know this. Why do you suppose they are pushing population control so hard. Most will say the planet can sustain another 2-4 billion but globalists and I believe we have already reached maximum capacity. We are slowly killing our environment as it is now. Sustain more? I don't think so.

Well; on and on rant but what for?

There will always be poor and disenfranchised. Face it!

Edit: The saying that"all men are created equal" is the greatest fallacy that has ever been perpetrated on humanity.

The Earth's surface is 70% covered with water, so population could expand out over the surface and under the water. Similarly, we currently only have pushed upwards with relatively few towers. If we built larger, we could easily accommodate 100 times the present population, but that's just housing.

There is issue of feeding such a mass but there is indication that we could increase that too in terms of one hundred fold (not to mention the food wastage of 1st world countries).

As for our psychology, I doubt that we could really handle crowding quite that much without significant effect on the mental stability of some. There is a possibility of increasing density of living without making everyone feel squashed in, by using better privacy and expansive views and designs.

In all, I'd say we could easily do 10 times the population and probably up to 100 times. It is only the short sigthedness of modern theorists who cannot forsee that future situations will be different in more ways than raw numbers.

I noticed something on the map during election night. Most of the southern counties in Texas were blue. There's a lot of democrats in Michigan most of which have nothing to do with illegal immigrants. I'm a democrat from Michigan I'm all for getting control of the southern border as are most democrats I know. I noticed southerners talk about democrats as if we're all the same we're not. Michigan shares a border with Canada. We don't have 1/100th of the problems Texas has. I've spent half my life on the border of Canada fishing. I see the border patrol constantly. Not many people can get away with crossing from Canada into the US. We have security to the max around here. I live 10 minutes away from one of the busiest border crossings with Canada. There's hardly ever any lines. I've seen some of the border crossings with Mexico and it looks like pandemonium. I'm from Detroit if Canadians were swimming across the Detroit river we'd be using them for target practice.
