Yes, just like, at least in the big picture. A very wise man once said that history does not change because the human heart does not change.
Students of history and theology know this all too well.
Research by some scholars estimates the population of the Americas to be as high as 112 million around the year 1492.
Consider that some of the temple structures and pyramids built by those people could not have been fashioned by the European colonist that arrived
with the technologies they had or would have for around 250 years.
The people already there influenced the land in ways we probably will never fully understand but they did indeed have an influence to a fashion.
