I attended the Trump rally last Friday night. Mesa is my backyard.
There were thousands of people and a line over a mile long.

I was roughly 200 people too far back in line in order to get a seat within the hangar to see Trump personally.

Prior to the end of the rally, I headed around to the opposite side of the airfield.
This allowed me to capture the President's departure and the escort.

There were 5 aircraft in total (that we could see).

It was quite a site. The sound of all 5 aircraft was pretty awesome.

Holy Scit!! Thanks for posting! After seeing those take off and fly so slow, hearing the sound and seeing the light markings, I now know what I probably have been seeing flying above my house at nights and especially flying over this huge parking lot area (almost 1 sq mile of paved surface with odd activity at times) between 11pm & 2am years ago. I'd see what I thought was a 1-3 helicopters flying above this lot like it was doing very slow surveillance (it's a business) and it looked like they all flew off away from me, but I think they landed there. I never thought about the possibilities of these and I could never figure out why there would be a patrol helicopter let alone a few over this place at that time of night as they never have anything like that. The only difference was they had blue/red/white strobe lights at the bottom of the air craft that were strobbing at an odd pattern I had never seen before.

It was kind of funny seeing the C-5 and C-17 sitting on the hard stands beside the passenger terminal at Sky Harbor.

I did a lot of Presidential support back when I flew C-141s...we never broke, I guess that is why they used us so much. As the old story goes what do you call 2 C-5s and only one is on jacks....they only have one set of jacks...

The presidential transports are the only C-5s I've never seen broken.

Back in the 80s our sister squadron at Travis AFB was C-5 and they could never make it past Hickam and we would go around the world and hardly have a write-up.

We always knew exactly how much money the crew had at any given moment. It usually went something like this-

Us-What's your status?
Them-Code 3 for (insert convenient failure)
U-Ok, we'll check with supply and see if we have to order parts or if we have them on hand. Go ahead down to the hotel and we'll let you know.
T-Ok, take your time.

A few days go by.

T- So how long until parts get here?(Realizing it was more expensive than they thought.)

A few more days-

T- Hey, we really need to get the jet fixed and get home. (Still some money, but pretty low)

Finally-

T- You know what, we're ok to fly it home like that. We'll just fix it when we get home.
