Fukushima doom

I'm a believer that fukushima is a much bigger problem than we're being told..

I watched a youtube today that was released a few weeks ago summing up some aspects of Fukushima that the news arent telling us..

one particular part I want peoples opinions on is at the 14minute mark onwards..

Whats peoples thoughts on the radiation levels in a plane like that?

Many of us don't do video. Could you elaborate with a more detailed summary and/or a link with text please?

Agreed. Much bigger.

Fact:
My wife's friend worked at the plant and retired.
He's a specialist of how the plant works.
Point 1, THERE IS NO MODERN TECHNOLOGY AVAILABLE TO HANDLE THIS SITUATION.
Point 2, Currently it is impossible to contain the contamination.
Point 3, Have you ever wondered who is working the cleanup there, hmm do foreigners, homeless and whatever ring a bell. By the way, they are only allowed so many days in a time period to work in the area. Are they wearing them radiation badges? Last I heard, they didn't even know what they were.
Point 4, Remember the sushi business is worldwide these days. It is best to bring your giger (sp) to the restaurant to test the fish. Will people do it, nope.

the part i want some input on is - the user in the movie took a geiger counter on a flight that flew from Japan to the US -

the movie shows different times of the flight path and the geiger counter's reading..

Watched enough ocean die offs and people filming barefoot????

Much more likely that he was reading cosmic radiation.

I do not think that you could read radioactive radiation coming from the ocean in an altitude of 30,000 feet. That would be about lethal at sea-level..

Not to say the Fukushima situation is under control or anything we know it's not.

But,
Who takes a radiation detector on an airplane? And what does flying in 2018 have to do with Fukushima?

Notice how none of the people in the video using radiation detectors show what the counts are being read in?
It's easy to set detectors on say micro seiverts or something and you will get large numbers that will look scary until you realize how small they really are.

Fukushima is a large problem, but I dislike it when videos intentionally leave out important context and details for shock value.

As a resident of Japan, how concerned overall are you for the safety of the Japanese people?
A friend of mine is looking to possibly move there by way of the jet program. Just wondering if I should be worried for her.

It is showing solar radiation.
When videos like this show inaccurate information they lose all credibility.

The Pacific Ocean will be dead, nothing can stop it
It's a disaster beyond anything we have ever seen before

I don't think it's being hidden, there is just nothing that can be done
One more wave and all the tailing ponds will wash out the radiation into the ocean and that will be an unprecedented disaster

First of all, and with the greatest possible respect, this threads OP
needs serious expansion.

Second, theres an awful lot going on in this video, and not all of it can be directly attributed to radiological disaster. Birds falling out of the sky is not new, nor are mass beachings of marine animals, or any of the other examples of disaster, EXCEPT the radiation levels found within the fish.

And as for radiation levels, at no time does the fellow with the scanner make clear which unit of measurement he is using to discern the radiation levels at the beach, or in the aircraft. Depending on how his equipment is set up, he could be blowing smoke, or getting burned, and we have no real way to tell, as a result of his poor camera quality.

Yet more BS abounds, when we see that the end of the video appears to have more to do with an appeal to repent and find Jesus, than it does with any solution to the problem, or suggestions of a practical, rather than esoteric nature.
As a believer in Christ, even I find this utterly impractical and ridiculous.

To summarise, the Fukushima crisis is VERY likely to be much worse than reported, but a video like this actually does more damage to that argument than any amount of mainstream media buggery ever will. Measurements made in a mystery unit, measurements made in an aeroplane without any comparative data from flights prior to the disaster at Fukushima, and a whole host of things that have not been connected by rigor and forensic analysis, to anything in particular, other than the measurements taken from samples collected by the Japanese fishermen, which, to be clear, are alarming measurements.

These things, this vauge methodology, the appeal to religious zeal at the end, these things do NOT assist the cause of disclosure, nor do they assist anyone who really cares about the environment we live in, in the effort to promote environmental responsibility in their homes, villages, towns, cities and nations. All it does is present yet another easy target for the naysayers and the mainstreamers, the luddites and the fools out there, to attack. All of those who say their oil jobs are more important than having a habitat that sustains human life, all the fools who think that having the lights on, and the option of being thinly dressed indoors in the wintertime, is worth the risks associated with nuclear power, these people with their naive notions of how life ought to be, and who are prepared to do anything, and ignore any threat, in order to keep their views... They are not going to be accessed by this video, they are not going to take it to heart, and even those on the cusp of doing so will look for ANY excuse, any logical weakness, any failure of presentation, to avoid taking its message on board.

While I agree with the motivation behind the video, which appears to be a genuine desire to see nuclear power taken off the table as an option, leaving us with only renewables as an alternative to oil, the execution, the delivery is so flawed that even I, as someone who agrees with the thrust of the thing, am dismayed to see it delivered in such flawed fashion. This is information that needs to be delivered perfectly, accurately, without wavering or getting off the topic in the slightest, or embellishing anything or leaving things to the imagination, and this video fails in that.

i watched this video yesterday. id like to see live video of them getting a 530 sievert reading outside the reactor. that is a huge number. the basement of the hospital in pripyat only hits 100-200 if you put geiger counter up against the firefighters uniforms.the basement of the hospital in pripyat is more contaminated than chernobyl itself. im not saying that number is inaccurate. im saying if that number is real, the inside of the reactor will cause almost guaranteed cancer within minutes of entering. might take a few years to kick in but it would almost definately come

Sounds terrible. Not sure if these die offs are or were caused by Fukishima but if they are then it's sad news! Definitely some are..

Well, tourism is up. 20 million people visited Japan last year. The farthest north I would want to live would be Kyoto.
What worries me the most nowadays are why the men losing hair? No offense to those that have suffered from bad women, but it looks like they had a sex disease, which I'm sure they didn't, but my gosh, men are losing/thinning out their hair. I've been here on an off since 74 and I can tell you men's was very thick just like you'd see in them old kung fu movies.
Maybe vaccinations might have something to do with. High School kids are also affected by hair loss.

If Radiation levels were dangerously high where the video was shot there would be no video feed possible...
However this is an enormous problem with global impact which will have very long term effects with no real solution in sight...
