Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Listing Appears Online

German retailer MediaMarkt may have just outed the rumored PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 , a listing for the game has appeared on the company's Swedish website where the game is available for pre-order.

Well, well, just like that looks like there’s reason for the PC crowd to rejoice. That’s because Red Dead Redemption 2 might just come to PCs after all. At least, that’s if plans push through as seen in the website for German retailer MediaMarkt. MediaMarkt, which is Europe’s largest retailer of consumer electronics and just behind Best Buy globally, currently has Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC listed under the Swedish branch of the site.

Of course the listing could just be a mistake or it could be they've accidentally broken an embargo on an impending announcement , obviously I'm hoping it's the latter.

I want that game so bad since I love dark country music. I refuse to play consoles, that's for little kids.

In favour of the game being real and not just a mistaken listing is the revelation of the previously unknown Rage 2 which was outed by Walmart Canada earlier this year , that leak brought the official statement forward.

They didn't release the first one, and there is good reason not to. I've purchased consoles in the past simply to play games not available on PC, only to sell the console once done with said game. Knights of the Old Republic, for one.

That being said, I'm a PC gamer through and through, and would LOVE this title to make it to PC. Hope this was a spoiler!

GTAs were being released on PC at the time when RDR 1 came out and it didn't make it.

More hints at the existence of a PC version this time from Red Dead companion app , investigators have been rummaging around in the companion app files and found some interesting things.

Some of these parameters are fairly obvious, like references to Oculus (PARAM_Oculus), PC connectivity (PARAM_companionAutoConnectIpPC), and even a roundabout nod to a PC version (CommandIsPcVersion(void) 000000000166A12C).

However, there's also a line referencing a PC version of the companion app (SIGNIN_PC_APP_URL 0000000002A51F58), which could suggest the other parameters are tied to a PC version of the app rather than the game. That being said, the graphics settings referenced in the files - framerate, ultra shadows, water reflection, bokeh, and plenty more - point to something more complicated than a mere app.
