10x10x3 is huge. How many one pound cans was it? Is powder available to individuals in larger than one pound cans? I messed around with pounds of 4f when I was a late teen or young adult. Too long ago to remember all the details.

Huh. I didn't know you weren't allowed to take a chem class because of what you did in the military...That's odd to me.

If you're trusted enough to do the work while in the military, should you not be trusted to not do the job out of it??

I'm probably not making myself clear...

Cold medicine, FTW.

It was a heavily Liberal College. You know the old PTSD veteran flaking out bit. The school has since disbanded it's engineering program. The engineering students intimidated the other students in class. In the schools section of my -214 there are three classes with an EOD prefix and the Dean of Students knew what it meant. Funny thing is that to make the things that I was taught how to make, I don't need a Chem lab, I just need a Walmart.

Exactly.

My sister, who's a member here on ATS, worked with explosives during her time in the Navy. She could go to Wal-mart, just like you...

For that matter, so too could I. Though with me, it's not military service, it's the Anarchists Cookbook...

I should have guessed that that was the reason.

Picatinny Army Depot is near me

Back in 1990's "gifted" several local colleges with copies of ENCYCLOPEDIA OF EXPLOSIVES AND RELATED ITEMS

A 10 vol set over 3000 pages of anything and everything that goes BOOM ……..

Following September 11 decided not a good idea to have these around

Pity - made fascinating reading ……….

I've had a copy of the Anarchists Cookbook since high school.

That's when I got mine, as well.

Ex-flower child ran, and still does, a used book store. He must be almost 80 now...and doesn't look a day over 40. I'm probably at least 20 years younger than he is, and he looks about my age now...amazing.

Super nice guy. Books for miles. Some of 'em would raise alarm bells all over the place...
. Those that I haven't bought.
