I am glad everyone treated this topic with the weightiness it deserved.

I would have hated for anyone to have been sarcastic about it.

When you think about someone running around with a hand up their ass all day ya kinda assume.

But seriously, I said this on my post.

They are not gay.
They are not straight.
They are puppets designed to entertain pre schoolers.

To be honest, I was kinda mad when this whole BS got started. I loved this show as a kid, and as an adult, I still think it is a great show for kids.
They just relate to kids at their level, and actually teach them things. Hell, I didn't know what "gay" was at 4-5. I thought Oscar was just the greatest!

You want real controversy, go back and watch the old "Muppet Show" from the late 70's, early 80's.
They sure knew how to get things past the censors back then.

And that is the official Sesame Workshop position, but I guess the activists now think that kids need to learn about that stuff at that age. It's in the schools that young, so why not in Bert and Ernie?

The irony being that most kids never wondered that until they got older and had their minds twisted by society's warped identity crisis.

Frankly, I never even thought about it because when you're a kid, it seems normal to hang out with your male friends and plenty of straight men have lived together for ages.
