I found a satellite image of the hurricane. Sucker's huge.

I also discovered something a tad odd with the image, tho. It looks for all the world like a head and shoulders leaning in to look at the coast.

Yeah- I know. Pareidolia. Looks awful convincing, tho, huh?

Family member is headed to Columbia SC today, will be there by morning to take care of elderly in the area.

man that thing is so far away theres no way to know for certain where it will veer. We have had the same distance plot it to hit us in Florida before, only to veer into the Carolinas. Now its plotting towards them, for all we know it decides to veer back at Florida.

Bet you it lands somewhere between J-ville and Savannah.

With the way the news and weather sites are carrying on, you'd think the thing was going to get to the coast, hit an invisible wall, dance up and down the coast, and the rest of us get sunny skies and 80 degrees. >_
