You would be surprised where they build new housing projects.
Check out this area in 2003.

Illegal radio monitoring equipment was hidden amongst the observatory equipment. (So as to blend in and camouflage the illegal radio gear.)

Someone was recording radio broadcasts from White Sands and Holloman AFB.
They've been mailing radio data somewhere.

Someone caught it, the FBI seized the equipment, and held up the post office, so they could determine who was involved, where, and why.

Investigation was ongoing after initial seizure, hence the silence.

If this is an act of outside espionage, it is nearly the exact response I would expect from this scenario.

None of this is confirmed as root cause, it just seems most likely given the situation as of right now.
I don't know if that's right or not, but it's one of the few ideas that doesn't immediately sound like it's wrong for not fitting all the known facts, and it would fit what little description we have been given so far about being a "security issue".

Well, I know we had some questions as to whether the FBI was actually involved as the sheriff was the only one to mention it. I guess this puts that angle to rest.

Or if it was even the FBI if it was something to do with sigint you’d think a certain other 3 letter agency would be the ones involved....

Just saw a FB post from someone who got through to sunspot observatories representative, and received a reply that said,

I guess we'll see.
That would be fitting, just reopen the thing. And make no statement whatsoever.
They'll just say "The threat has been dealt with, come spend money".

There is this from BlueAjahs link

"Kinsey Featherston, a spokeswoman for Rep. Stevan Pearce (R-N.M.), said the congressman’s office contacted the FBI and was told there was an “ongoing investigation.”

Not sure why I took so many years to join ATS, but have enjoyed participating in this thread. With the lack of new info, got a bit bored and inspired last night when talk started of t-shirts; began amateur art derps. Dunno what I'm gonna do with it yet, but welcome any suggestions and notes. Trees were public domain (i r lazy) and the blue BG is a place-holder for the better seeing of things. If this is too side-track, then hit me in the DMs.

I might order the t-shirt if I see it online
lol

This is super interesting, first I'd heard of it was this afternoon. MSM reporting that the observatory is still closed (now 3rd day) and they're now saying for "security reasons"

They say this is one of the longest range radio telescopes in the world, near Roswell, New Mexico (yes, you can't make this # up)

Seriously, what could be going on an a solar observatory in the middle of nowhere prompting a shutdown for days for security reasons?

If we hear them playing "Calling occupants of interplanetary craft" we know they've spotted SOMETHING.

UFO, a confirmed radio signal from outside solar system, or a near earth Asteroid would be my first guesses.

Actually, this is the 9th day. It closed Thursday, September 6th.

Have fun catching up on 105 pages of theories and research which resulted in... no concrete results.

It truly is a mystery.

Let me just say...whatever the truth is i still know that aliens are in or near that area.

I totally agree with you, SOMETHING is in that area. Or at least there used to be. My great Uncle worked as a security guard at the entrance to White Sands back in 19## and he did not believe in religion OR aliens, or anything of that matter. And the story we all knew was that one night he was alone in the guard shack, he had been told that someone important was to arrive later. Next thing he remembered was that something (an energy or a person he didn't see what it was) pushed him off the chair and flying back into a wall and he passed out. He never knew what happened and he didn't see what did it to him. Shook him up pretty bad and he quit working there not too long after.

Have all of your posts been logical and nonparanoid sounding if so good for you?

For this specific thread? I believe so, yes. And thank you

On ATS in general, no there has been some paranoia over the years aswell as a few personal posts about past experiences that are/were quite illogical amd unexplained though I'm pretty sure I was aware they were illogical and stated so at the time which is why they were so confusing lol

The very nature of ATS and the subjects discussed here make a good bit of the subject matter illogical and I'm more than aware of that and have no problem embracing the fanciful. Sometimes its nice to throw out logical and fantasize about what "could be" .

Im just saying my personsl opinion is that for this specific instance there is probably a logical and benign explination that will pribably be a combination of one event followed by failure to react by someone and fanning of the rumor mill. Being that it's an opinion it very well could be wrong completely. I'm still thoroughly enjoying and following the thread none the less.
