There is a reason it only rears its ugly head when times get tough, it is a symptom of a larger problem - not a solution. Never has been, never will be.

Well all right then, I'll just sit here and wait for someone else in society to pay for all my bills, earn all the money, take care of my health care, see to it that my clothing is washed, wipe my butt, etc.

Because, you know, you just told me it's impossible to be responsible for and take care of myself because there are 350 million other people around to do it for me.

we have no control of our own lives? what a ridiculous statement. I suppose we might as well let the government take over everything, leaving no stone unturned. I mean, we have no control anyways, might as well let our friends in government to decide how we live entirely.

No,
It's nepotistic totalitarian socialism. They just added fluffer words to make it sound nicer. When the chairs of the DSA openly call for the govt. takeover of all business and production. Any capitalism is long gone by that point.

What you're describing sounds more like the Nordic version.

I agree with the notion that Democratic Socialism is a scam. Does that make Capitalism any better or different? nope.

Socialism = corruption.

The elite run the corporations they take over for there own ends.

They put other elite (party member) in charge of the corporations and skim all the profits.

They also put in party supporter in as workers and get rid of anyone else.
if you are a long time member of the party you become a boss.
If you want to work you join the party as a supporter. and if you believe the party does not know how you vote vote the wrong way and you find you are out of work.

Worked in china. russia. NK and cuba.

Yes, but it's not about socialism, it's the more extreme Trotskyism.

If you want to understand socialism, go work in a union shop and put forth the extra effort to try to earn a merit raise.

When you find out that all raises come as scheduled (if at all) and you get the same as anyone else whether you work hard or barely at all, then you will understand socialism.

"Democratic Socialism" is an oxymoron 😀
