Yes, trends like that are only reasonable bets if you can make them in advance.
On a cruise ship to Bermuda, I watched a man lose 5G's chasing zeros. He claimed he had been at the table for a few hours, and no green showed up. He started making heavy bets boxing the zeros thinking that when the zeros came back, they would do so in a flurry. After he left in disgust of course, is when a couple came up back to back.
