Yup, like chasing the zeros on a roulette wheel. People see no green on the history marquee, and bet heavily on the probability that they are due to come out. Fact is, the odds are the same on every roll, irregardless of past history.

However, if you could make a bet that zeros showed up at least once in say 100 spins, that would be statistically in your favor, however certainly not a guarantee.

Run theory is an interesting study, I've done coin flip simulations that have yielded runs of 28 heads in a row.

So what you are saying is that if a coin came up heads 27 times and you bet on tails for the next flip you have the same odds as if the coin came up tails 27 previous consecutive times and you bet on tails for a 28 flip?

Yes, trends like that are only reasonable bets if you can make them in advance.

On a cruise ship to Bermuda, I watched a man lose 5G's chasing zeros. He claimed he had been at the table for a few hours, and no green showed up. He started making heavy bets boxing the zeros thinking that when the zeros came back, they would do so in a flurry. After he left in disgust of course, is when a couple came up back to back.
