Cool idea!...
Cept use a roller instead of blades right?
Cuz... It's not cut.
Then give them quad rotors to get out without tracks when there are none.
I don't want to attack your argument on it's merits ONLY, but "no tracks" is kind of the dumbest argument I see about crop circles.
I grew up on farms, in farms, around farms. My county was one of the most rural farming counties in the world.
Plants have spacing. Plants in a field are not grown like a blanket. You can step around and between them.
You could have the gait of Danny Devito with feet the size of Andre the Giant's feet, and leave most fields without leaving tracks.
If you want to argue about soil tracks, breadcrumb it.
Run twine through a belt loop on your way in. Retrace your EXACT pathing on the way back out. Look for any shoemarks and footprints you made as you
leave. Fix them by a quick dirt brush over. There's nothing hard about that, would take an extra 5 minutes, MAYBE.
