I keep trying not to look!

But when I go out to smoke...

When I shone a flashlight on it, it stopped, so it has to be something alive.

The more I use the new vacuum, the more I'm really happy with it. Except when you don't realize it has enough suction to try to eat things and you partially suck the pillow you're vacuuming the dander off/out of down the hose :/

Trial and error period, I just have to get used to it over time and know where to be cautious. It did a really good job cleaning the pillows, despite having a rude awakening with the suction power. It also did very well on the mattresses, the old one never came close to getting that much out, ever. I vacuum off the pillows and mattresses seasonally to keep up with it (because why not) I'd always assumed the ol' Hoover did a good job. Um, judging by the huge amount of almost silt-like fine dust the new Shark pulled out of them, the Hoover evidently never really did a good job at all, yikes

I've discovered one minor, but annoying drawback to the hand tools/hose use -- the suction I already know to be damn good is tiring as hell when deep cleaning furniture/pillows/etc, and quickly. It takes a LOT more elbow grease than I'm used to to move the hose & attachments around. That sucker wants to suck that one spot right there, to hell with the rest. But, it's very effective, so I can't really complain about it.

My arms are still fatigued hours later

When Tom gets home, or my son comes back down, I'll ask them to video it.

Shark Navigator, Costco's edition, it was my self-selected birthday gift from my husband early this month

My previous machine was a Hoover, but it's slowly breaking down. After 12 years of regular and sometimes heavy use, it was just a matter of time. It was losing suction at a steady rate over the spring & summer, and the hose no longer clicked in to seal recently, so there was a measure of acrobatics while vacuuming to keep the hose connected.

My equally old Hoover shampooer also died on me this past week, in the middle of cleaning the living room carpet
Man, was I ticked off, the spray button to dispense the water got STUCK at the same time, too, so the carpet ended up soaked with no way to get it up quickly. I had to get out our little spot cleaner machine and manually do it. It....took a while, the shampooer pretty much emptied the cleaner reservoir in one shot.
I'm still shopping around for a new one, leaning towards trying out a Rug Doctor this time.

That sounds just like the one I have now!

Well not exactly.

He came in, ate dinner, then went to bed.

He said it's not like they're coming in the door!

But thanks to all of you, for listening. I feel better.

Now I need to catch up on the thread.

It's not like they're coming through the door. Bahaha! That cracked me up. Now he'd better hope they don't. Right?

I know leaves keep drying after falling from their branches. Perhaps it is just the drying process that is causing them to move around.. and perhaps a slight breeze is helping as well ? Just a thought.

Thanks NB! When he first posted it and it wouldn't play in 'my' Country, I tried searching for the one that looked like the one he posted and gave up scrolling trying to find it.

Ok, I need sleep soon. Sooo tired.

The sun is slowly descending into my horizon, the dragons don't want to leave ( They have been feasting on the great white sharks that also call my beach; home .) The birds are making their final songs and squawks ( some sound sweet ... others, not so much ) before bedding down.

Tomorrow is a brand new day for all of us.
Our attitude to our wants and expectations has a lot to do with it.

The simple things, like playing with a pet, listening to music and being aware of your surroundings or interacting with friends, are free !

😎😁

Hello!

My morning coffee gave me energy to clean up my apartment. Now just relaxing, some music and cold water.
