Id say still your fault who would buy a walgreens salad? i read the op and was wondering who would buy a salad from walgreens and why would you considering you could go almost anywhere and get a salad. let me tell you for future reference don't buy dairy products from convenience stores either.

There are some folks who agree that this is a conspiracy. At least one of them works as a forensic investigator for the USDA. She swears that this particular little bug is man-made and either escaped or was dispersed from at least two laboratories in the 1960s. She says that one clue is the fact that only humans are hosts. Seems that the length of time it takes for symptoms to develop is also a clue to a biological investigator. In this case, it takes about a week after ingestion for symptoms to manifest. If you're doing a bio-weapon this would be an advantage as after a week, it would be hard to tell exactly which food was infected.

The good news is that it is self-limiting which makes it a poor bio-weapon. It will kill the members of the population who have suppressed immune systems if not treated but most healthy people do recover. The recovery time can be accelerated with a cocktail of antibiotics.

On the other hand, if the objective was to disable an entire army for a limited period of time, this seems to be a very effective method. There are tons of papers done on the effects of dysentery in military situations dating back for well over a century.

Easiest way to avoid this sort of illness---grow your own green stuff and wash it under running water. If you do buy these greens----wash them under running water. That used to be simple common sense---to wash any raw produce you were going to eat. Come on people, teach your children to wash....hands and food.

The parasite Alert should be extended to cover RINO's and liberal politicians.
