Recent Northern polar ice decrease

This is a NASA animation link, has probably been posted before, I apologize if his is a repeat, but still super cool to behold. I teach science and use this often for students as an introduction to global climate condition changes. Not doom porn. But interesting. From a scientific perspective. And considering the ocean currents, all that cold fresh water floating over the denser saline sea water, could possibly cause ocean current variations, some surface air temperature variations, sea life migrations, Oh crap, DOOM! Or just a change.

I am glad you are teaching Science. Always something to explore and think about. And yes NASA says the overall trend is downward for Arctic ice accumulation... They usually stop around 2015 however this shows current up to 2018... youtu.be...

Awesomse!!! Earth climate and atmosphere changes for sure. I love the satellite pics, also, There is likely a scientific explanation for giant sculls. probably Giants. Next time I get over to an arctic region will get a good bone sample with good mitochondrial DNA from deep inside the the cranial cavity, or at least good stone sample to clarify where the object originated.
with a pocket knife and a plastic bag, and we can prove once and for all.
