I should also mention that images formed (projected) onto the sensor or onto film are a complete reversal of the scene. Right is on the left, and the top is on the bottom. The text is backward and so is the subject. in most cases, when we look at a processed image, everything is corrected to the subject scene orientation. Early processes were at times direct positives, which means that the image is shown backward right to left. In most processes, however, the negative is an intermediate step in producing the positive as well as a means of correcting the orientation to the scene.
167:22:06 Scott: Well, in my left hand, I have a feather; in my right hand, a hammer.
In the documentary that I saw in a movie hall also nothing was reversed. All orientation was just like the video, except the narrator was describing the expt and the astronaut's voice was not there

In the Apollo 15 hammer/feather video, nobody is upside down, nor are the words "United States" on the LM reversed....
...or am I misunderstanding what you are saying?
Anyway, astronaut David Scott said "...in my left hand, I have a feather; in my right hand, a hammer", and he did have them held that way in the video (his left hand held the feather, which is our right).

As I have a photographic memory when it comes to something to do with science, I can safely say that the hammer was in the astronauts left had. I am definitely not mis remembering.
Although the said documentary is bound to be on the net somewhere

I had a friend tell me the same thing he swore it was an eagle feather. I told him it was not it was a falcon feather. He swore and even bet me that it was an eagle feather and said the same thing you did. let me know if you want to bet on something.
