Three adults and two children were found with gunshot wounds in an apparent homicide-suicide. They were found in the small southern Indiana city of Loogootee on Sunday. The bodies of three adults and two children were found Sunday afternoon at more than on location in Loogootee.

"We have five fatalities and all of them are from gunshot wounds," Ringle said. "At this point that's really all I know."

Ringle said there are "several different crime scenes" and he did not yet have details of the slayings, but said it appeared to be a quadruple homicide-suicide.

He said he did not know whether the five victims were relatives.

This is terrible. I always feel a great feeling of sorry when I hear news like this. What was going through these people’s minds when they decided this was the way to go? Were they clinically depressed, or just insane. If they were family I dread to think what was running through the children's minds in their last few minutes of life.
