Heh.... whether its meerkats, octopi or puppy dogs, everyone looks for a sign as to which way the axe will fall, before any actual variables have fully developed into a measurable and predictable format.

But here is a prediction that I am supremely confident in.

This is summer. It should be illegal to televise or broadcast that laddish dross during the cricket and tennis seasons!

As it happens, my fingers are filthy. Woodworking dust, metal cutting swarf, plus sweat, makes for a particularly unpleasant coating!
