While perusing facebook, i catch this from June 29. Anyone able to provide identification for me? considering falcon 5 heavy due to multiple stages of launch. Or possible entry of a large meteorite, but the coloring seems off to me. I'm no astronomer though lol

Truly unidentifiable. No idea what I am looking at. Am I looking at a totally empty OP?

Ah beat me to that one!

OP we know where this is at? Very interesting, I do wish posters would speak something helpful when they film, like description, time of day where they are direction, and lose the WTF is that very tiring hearing the same everywhere!!!

Apparently it's a SpaceX launch .. when the guy in the video says it hovering it probably because the rocket is heading away from the camera and technically rockets down go 'Straight up' when they are launched

Cool vid but I'm going for a rocket launch

Stage separation on a rocket launch. They launched a Falcon 9 with a Dragon bound for the ISS scheduled at at 0515. It's the end of the first stage, separation, then ignition and throttle up of the second stage.

My guess is a SpaceX Falcon 9 launch, on an ISS resupply mission...

or an intercontinental ballistic missile launch starting WW3... that we somehow missed.

(posted same time as Zaph ... noted just so it doesn't look lamer than it was)

Yep. Looks like a SpaceX launch at 5:42AM on June 29th.

Dragon Resupply Mission

It's pretty cool to see it anyway.
