I can make this simple under no circumstance should a 16 year old kid be attacked by an adult. There is no situation where this is acceptable. But at least he is being charged so the kid can learn at least those type of actions are unacceptable.

Look, I'm certainly no fan of President Trump, and I DO understand "innocent until proven guilty", but I'm not sure why you are so vehemently defending this guy as if you are working under the assumption that he had a valid reason to do what he did.

I'm not going to defend the guy nor convict him at this moment, not until we find out what really happened, However, I do have to say that I don't know what excuse an adult would have for violently ripping a hat off of a kid's head and throwing a drink in his face. The page was quickly removed, presumably when the founder of the campaign realized that raising $85,000 for a 30-year-old deadbeat who assaulted and cursed out 16-year-old boys would be a bad optic for Democrats.

Isn't your hypothetical story a pretty big "if" when trying to relate it to this episode?

Correct me if I'm wrong (and maybe I missed something), but is it known that these kids said something to this guy to provoke him? I admit that if these kids acted in a way similar to your hypothetical story, then they would deserve to be talked back to and put in their place - although I don't think taking the hat and throwing a drink in his face is a proper response.

However, as far as I know the guy was set off simply by the kid wearing the hat. I wouldn't wear that hat, but I wouldn't assault someone and steal their hat just because they were wearing one, and definitely not a teenager.
