Yes, I do. Fairly often.
Just this morning I woke up and saw a woman looking at me.
I asked "Who are you?"
And then she just faded away and I was properly awake.

One, yeah, they can get BIG. Two, why sleeping there? Three, so, were these "appendages" metallic-looking, or like the rest of the spider?

There are tarantulas in Texas. Never heard of anything like that one one, though. Find a local spider expert, maybe?

I could even see there being automated drones of that sort, but why there, with you?

Creepiest spider I ever saw was a good ten inches across. Looked, I'd swear, like a wolf spider, just HUGE, but chittered, as I have heard Goliath spiders can do. That was in Florida. We fled the premises. A spider the size of a face-grabbing alien is not something I ever want to encounter again.
