Police said a 54-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman were killed. A 17-year-old male is in critical condition at Detroit Receiving Hospital. With the crowd yelling at them that the plane was about to explode, (Larry) Whitfield said he and the other man used the ax to break out the window and then open the plane’s door.

Hope for humanity.

Actions beyond color that make me personally question even my own stances on relations.

Prayers for the lost the hurt and the heroes.

Perhaps we are growing after all.

Wow..it's amazing that he even survived that. The plane looked fully engulfed by fire and he managed to get out and walk away with no apparent broken bones and just burns. He is blessed.

It is terribly sad that he lost both of his parents in the accident.

Some people are calling it a "miracle." I guess the dad and stepmother weren't included in that particular miracle.
