Humans alone in universe, depressing study finds

We are currently looking at MANY planets and moons that are in the goldilocks zone in our universe.
It's only a matter of time before discover 'some sort' of life elsewhere out there.

Maybe but as we learn more about how we git here you also start to realize that we beat tremendous odds. For example i was reading one article that said our unusually large moon had allowed life to bnb grow on the planet. Without our moon the earths dynamo would have shut down bathing the planet in radiation. Effectively killing all life on land and most in the water. As this radiation would kill plankton and without this 99.9 percent of ocean life wouldnt survive.

Not only did we need the moon we needed a sun within certain standards, we needed to have liquid water. We needed to be far away from the center of the galaxy. We needed to be somewhere without killer neighbors that would destroy the planet with radiation from other star systems. Even the speed our solar system travels has effect on us being here.

Id Iike to think we aren't alone but the odds say we were that 1 in trillions occurence

I don't have a problem with hyperintelligent squid or super plants. I think they both sound awesome.

Point is: wherever they are, that's where they stay. The study is about intelligent space-faring civilizations. Stay-at-home species will never be detectable until we actually go to them.

Even intelligent space-faring civilizations may employ Panspermia as a means of seeding other worlds.

Especially so if lightspeed is still up for contention.

The perfect way for any race to seed the cosmos really after they manage to master genetics.

Perhaps it is not depressing news.

Maybe we were tired of the whole crowded spaces that we hid from ourselves.

We might find a no trespassing sign somewhere out there in the boundary zone.

What if we are hiding and some force is broadcasting signals to us in order to extend our willingness to find others that are searching for us to carry out destruction orders.

Humanity has been around for only a fraction of a split second within the cosmic time line and we can now safely say there is zero life in the universe? Wow. Just Wow.

This is because Earth is the first to house life.

Other Universes maybe, but one can not traverse from one universe to the other.
