You got a brother at work in another country.
But you do tell him?

Are you still trustworthy?

I did tell.

I thought the right to know triumphs their secrecy!

One day he finds out I knew, and didn't tell, and then I'm also in trouble.

Either way - you're screwed.

Your Brother had a right to know. You did the right thing. I would be mad as hell if something that important was kept from me.

Is the cancer terminal?

Having survived cancer, I always live with the fear that it could return. Did your Father say why he didn't want anyone to know?

Yeah, tell your siblings and don't worry about it.

Try to be there for your dad and hopefully they will be there to.

I'd have done the same. Wouldn't want that sort of thing kept from me.

I can understand asking you to wait until more is known but to forbid you from telling your sibling is weird. But then, I suppose that finding out you have cancer can make you kinda weird.

Did you agree not to tell?

I'm a firm believer in truth, and I'm also a firm believer of keeping your word. I believe you are, too.

I believe truth takes priority. If you agreed to not tell, then tell the person you made the agreement with why you must tell the truth. If someone believes they have such an agreement, make sure your position is clear.
