I just read, for the most part, 5 pages of misogynistic garbage that sounded like it was coming from 13 year old boys.

The whole idea of a genetic lottery based pageant is ridiculous. We need to stop making physical appearance such a big issue. In the world of attraction physical appearance is subjective.

Why is it that so many woman feel unattractive? Why do they go to great lengths to look more attractive, even going as far as to do harmful things to themselves because of what they feel about their physical appearance.

From the sound of it many of the men, I use thst term loosely, on this forum seem to believe that a woman's best attributes are merely physical. Some of you actually said there is no reason to have a miss America pageant if it isn't about looks. Very sad.

As long as men continue to think this way woman will continue to suffer. Very sad that most of you either don't care or are too ignorant to see the negative psychological impact this misogynistic garbage is having on our beautiful women.

The only people who can't appreciate the female form without being consumed by guilt and overcome by their emotions are the old zealots on the religious right and the new zealots on the radical left. I can barely tell these two extremes apart anymore. They've practically morphed into one great beast of ridiculousness.

Why stop there?

Why not have applicants just do a video because some women might not be able to walk, or attend the pageant, thus inhibiting them from participating.

As for winning, who's to say WHO the real winner is.

I say everyone gets a tiara. But the tiara is gender specific and sexist.


Everyone gets a certificate of participation.

And men who identify as women should be able to participate.

Reality the only draw to get guys to watch is being taken away. So male viewership will drop to zero and there isn't enough women to maintain ratings meaning they wont even be on broadcast tv anymore. An incredibly dumb move throwing their business on the politically correct pile of rubbish.

Personally I think the pageant should just go away.

I enjoy a good bodybuilding competition, although I think they are unattractive and a bit freeky. But they are being judged on something that they have worked very hard to achieve.

There are some gorgeous women in this world who simply are genetically more appealing to look at. Why should we be giving them prizes? Didn't they already win?

I've been trying to think of something to say about this whole thread....but, to be honest, I don't really care...but you though...

Explain how removing bathing suits from a contest designed around looks from the beginning makes it any better...despite how the whole thing is still them parading around in different outfits for people's approval?

Also, personally, I can think of probably more women than men that'll be disappointed anyway...I can't think of too many men that even watch beauty pageants....but I assure you women enjoy seeing women as much...if not more in some cases, hell if only so they can admire the outfits.....than men.

I've also noticed that the most vocal white knighty sort of dudes also tend to have the most #ed up porn habits and sex fetishes.....just sayin dude.

Maybe you should look up the history of the Miss America pageant....hell....pageants in general. They were created for exactly the reason you seem to be upset about.

Yes I have watched porn although I do believe for the most part the women are not truly enjoying their experience which is the reason I am against it.

I could care less if a couple streams live for voyeuristic purposes, but women should never feel coercered or backed into a finacial corner to become porn stars.
