Rob Ford’s widow sues Doug Ford

For observers of Ontario's provincial election, this certainly comes as an entertaining development. Often touted (by both supporters and critics) as 'Trump Lite', Doug Ford has been running his populist campaign based upon his business acumen and the cachet of his late brother Rob. Seems there's trouble in the henhouse, though. I'm really wondering how it will fly with "Ford Nation"? Or with those traditional Progressive Conservatives who were already aghast at having to vote for him?

Can DoFo trump these final-stretch accusations? Pass the popcorn, will ya Martha?

The widow and children of former Toronto mayor Rob Ford are suing his brother Doug Ford, alleging he has deprived them of millions of dollars, including shares in the family business and a life insurance policy left behind to support his family. The Star

Best of luck, Ontario. At least they got a sweet healthcare deal out of Wynne for the kids before she conceded.

I hope it's enough to prevent a PC majority, I don't want anyone trying to stop me from getting into the coming trend of home herb gardens, and the PCs are the only ones against it!

Another 4 years of lieberals or 4 years of New Demon Party will unrecoverably kill the Ontario economy. We need some rollbacks on the garbage legislation the lieberals have put in play. The NDP did the same crap as the lieberals years ago and they haven't gotten back in since. Unfortunately, Ford is the only answer here. I would enjoy seeing the libertarian party get in, but it's not going to happen, they are being kept in "chains" by the other major parties or their handlers.

At least under Ford, if he doesn't buckle under the pressure of our shadow government, we may see some active corruption investigations and charges against Wynne and her lot of criminals. I won't hold my breath though.

i find the timing of this rather suspicious. seems rather like yet another attempt at a political assassination tactic against a party that seems like it has a good chance of winning. this would make it the second such attack against the PC party in this election cycle. this one taking place just a couple days before the election. as such this and the one that ousted the last leader of the PC party needs to be investigated as election interference with charges laid against the perpetrators (wonder if we would find Soros lurking in the background).

Personally, I like a coalition government every now and again so that nobody has unfettered access to the cookie jar for a while.

Personally, I like a coalition government every now and again so that nobody has unfettered access to the cookie jar for a while.

Probably better to have a coalition government if the lieberals or ndp could be trusted with the PC's. However, they've shown themselves rife with corruption, mainly the lieberals. I think in a coalition nothing will get done and we'd be in the same horrific shape 4 years from now. I'll take my chances with Ford, the lieberals have to go and the ndp when given a chance, destroy everything they touch. I'm over 60 and I've been watching the trends since 1975 anyway. Lieberals screw up everything, ndp destroys everything and occasionally the PC's go almost dictatorial (but the lieberals and ndp do that as well with a touch of the Marxist or fascisti).

As an American, I'm really hoping y'all elect another Ford. Rob's reign was the greatest political thing to ever happen to the US media. I mean, we have a president who had a tryst with a porn star 12 years before being elected and had an undercover video where he talked about grabbing vulvas... Canada kicked our asses by producing footage of Ford smoking crack

and then a live press conference where the man openly discussed his oral sex habits.

You're still leading, Canada. Now you just need to bring in the closer.

Ah, I vaguely remember hearing Doug was a cruel, criminal minded ass who Bob protected from getting arrested back when Bob was on US news almost daily. If that's the case, then I'd rather see you elect a serious candidate. I do like Canada, I am jealous of the fact that your politicians, while often quirky and even sometimes downright goofy, seem to lack the deep seated malice and constant seething anger most US politicians live off of.
