there is for sure something going on down there they want don't want people knowing
my perspective is that it's the pre younger dryas cataclysm society or what's left of it frozen in time and they don't want us knowing it
How exactly does that work out on a continent where ice sheets are upwards of 2 km thick and shows areas where continuous ice core sediments are 1-1.5
MA and where other ice has been retrieved, albeit not from a continuous core sample, but still this ice was nearly 3 Ma which means that Antarctica
was covered in ice sheets before the genus Homo to which Homo Sapiens Sapiens belongs. The oldest ice core is from a period where Australopithecines
were the dominant hominid of the African Savanah and H. Habilis may have been making their first appearance in South and East Africa. Quite a lengthy
distance from a pre-YD culture let alone civilization/society.
Who exactly is it that doesn't want "us" to know about this? It would be one of the most exciting finds in modern Anthropology at least on par with
discovering Homo Altaiensis, Homo Floresiensis and Homo Naledi if not even larger and even more important. Where would these remains be located given
the depth, thickness and mass of the ice sheets in question? If they were there even 15 Ka, the movement of the ice sheets would likely have deposited
any structures or remains below the water at this point.
Look at the failed expedition of Robert Scott to make it to the South Pole before Amundsen for example. Scott, Wilson and Bowers died in their tent.
Upon its discovery, a cairn was erected over them and that in turn was quickly engulfed in drifting snow and has in the last 100 years, moved several
miles towards the coast where eventually, they will again sail the open seas from within an iceberg.
The geography of Antarctica precludes the possibility of some magical city/town/village or any other accoutrement of a civilization being located even
if it were possible to have built one prior to Homo Sapiens ever existing. That's a heck of a feat of engineering and time travel all rolled into one.
