Website Not Secure????

Can one of the mods please respond to the "Website Not Secure" warnings that many of us are getting? The questions has been asked a few times with no response that I'm aware of. It's a little disconcerting that so many are receiving this warning as well as the sloooow page load speed. I've also noticed that other sites I visit are now loading slow also, but not always. Is ATS infected as well as my computer? I ran a scan with ClamXav and the only result that came up was Flashplayer adware which I quarantined. Surely this has been looked into? Any help appreciated. This a question that pops up from time to time.

ATS, Board Business: Answer posted here.

It has to do with not using https and SSL. Browsers are now starting to warn users they are connecting to a website not using this convention. I think I saw that some browsers will no longer display sites at some date in the future since the whole web does this.

I've not seen anything like that. I have 7 devices at work and home.... P. C. 's, tablets, mobile, laptops.

Hope mods have an idea... Thanks for the heads up.

Nope, not just you. Many of us are getting the "Site Not secure" warning and a large majority are experiencing slow page loads. I wasn't aware others were getting the warning too until a few mins ago, apparently many are. I only see it when I log out and then back in. I would imagine many are unaware of the "Site Not Secure" warnings because I only see it when logging in and I assume most of us stay logged in, otherwise it all looks normal except for slow page loads, which many of us are experiencing. Somethings not right.

It's because ATS is not using https. ..the warnings are from your browser not the site.

ATS won't use https because the CIA won't allow it

How else are they supposed to identify you as a threat by sneaking into everything digital you connect to the devices you login to ats with?? Don't you want to help combat terrorism??

If you add ATS to the whitelist, you will probably not see the message anymore, as I no longer get the message.

Sometimes I wonder what their standards are for identifying terrorists and what protocol they follow to make sure they dont screw with or even kill innocent civilians.

Moreover, what kind of recourse/compensation a wrongfully accused/tortured/surveilled civilian may enact...

I think it's http cuz there are issues with advertisement delivery when using certain ad servers when using https. I read about this issue once but what I was not clear on is why an http site was able to deliver https ad content without getting mixed-content errors. Seems to me this would be a bigger problem...

Regarding the CIA it wouldn't matter if it's http or https because they can ( and probably do ) man-in-the-middle every piece of traffic that traverses a fiber line in the USA. Your privacy and security are a figment of your imagination.
