The following map shows the specific ruler of every major European state and the change in that state’s borders during each person’s reign since 400 BC. That includes every major King, Dictator, Emperor, President, and Prime Minister during every empire, war, and phase of European history until 2017.

Sorry the video's kinda long...and there's not really much of a summary for it...it kinda is what it is...but it's a pretty cool and detailed look at the history of European rulers and borders for a couple thousand years.

I find it interesting how quickly these massive areas of land were conquered. It's very eye opening.
