What about a red conservative zones that resists the federal government like conservatives have been striving for for decades???

Well seeing how those are the zones that grow most of the food, supply most of the lumber and supply almost ALL the oil and gas I think they'd be just fine.

Your Liberal/Progressive cities would descend into anarchy within an week and people would be eating their pets in a month.

Meanwhile over in conservative land we'd be eating fresh food, heating our homes and building stuff.

Got any more stupid questions?

Gas is too heavily taxed by the govt in Brazil. This is a problem that has been going on for many years. Right now fuel price contains around 47% taxes. Add to that the newly established daily price adjustments and you have a powder keg ready to blow.

Well gee, now that you ask. Remember when you said

What kind of ''Mayberry'' wet dream are you having here? You think that Andy and Aunt Bee are just going to go on planting their own little victory gardens while the rest of the world crumbles? It's delusionary.

Sure, as you suggest, if and when the shtf, those folk in the major metro areas are going have chaos, but to suppose that it will be limited to those urban areas is myopic.
Holding the notion that ''conservativeland'' will survive is laughable. Much of those farms and wells and forests are or will be owned by corporations that will laugh in the face of conservatives who want exclusive use of their products. When the Shtf there will likely be a major shift in geopolitical boundaries and the corporate power structure of the world will assert itself on the jackbooted heals of their international private armies.

Yep, in the breakdown of central authority there will be universal grief as things ''sort out'' until the new central authority clamps down, and believe me brother that new authority will not be Andy of Mayberry. It will be the corporate authority already running the world from their control of resources and finance systerms.

Your conservative land is already, just like the metro zones, highly dependent upon that economic system for hand outs and support. When the shtf, the meth-heads and grade school dropouts who survive on government subsidies will, just as they will in the ur an areas, come out of the backwoods creating more conservative land havoc.

Anyone who does business with Venezuela is subject to US sanctions. Obviously they were onto something.
