We are good at pushing the envelope. Sharon Stone's quick peek had to be outdone, so now it is common to see movie stars traipsing the carpet naked except for a thin veil of material. I guess the message is "I am too valuable." Desire me. Look but don't touch.

Okay perhaps I can lay it out in clearly for the gentlemen out there. If you come within 3 feet of my personal space, and try to lift my skirt, I reserve the right to punch your #ing lights out and maybe break your arm in the process. Under no circumstances is that acceptable “run of the mill” behavior now or in the history of ever. And if you think it is then your part of the problem.

Perhaps we can start with there being a difference between normal, acceptable behavior and behavior that’s being accepted as normal.
Even if Weinstein’s behavior was accepted as a norm of Hollywood, that doesn’t make it normal, or acceptable. Where else would you have a boss interviewing you whilst fondling himself, or any of the other numerous things he’s accused of. The fact that it happens doesn’t make it normal, being accepted doesn’t make it acceptable at the time or otherwise. Weinstein was the quintessential quid pro quo, if you wanted to work for him, you did whatever sexual favor he wanted of you.
Think of it like slavery, once accepted as a part of life, we can understand the the agency and sovereignty of a person means that enslaving someone is literally up in the list of top 5 worst things you can do to people.
People hate hearing these stories come out but only by exposing them, to everyone, will anything change.
As I have said before I have two problems with all this. First it roles real violent sexual crimes in with "inappropriate behaver" and desensitizes the public to it all, and I find that disturbing.
