Good point about India, I hadn't thought of them, they'd for sure charge us less than the ESA.
I really hope Britain goes for it, and agree with Paraphi about the ground stations in the Falklands & Assencion, we could play hard ball with that if the EU want it.

Maybe not the best of ideas to be promoting what amounts to committing terrorist acts against people who don't support Brexit, just a thought.
Brexit will fail, just like the majority of the U.K, and by design no less.
As to getting called up, well you are getting called out!
No need for anyone to be shot up and/or cleared out aside from the current political establishment at the helm of this supposed first world nation.

The more I think of it a Commonwealth approach would really be the way to go if the EU dump us out of Galileo, I actually want them to now and reinforce our ties with the rest of the English speaking world.

Officials have been looking at ways in could refuse the the EU access to ground stations in the Falkland Islands and the Ascension Islands
Whitehall has also been looking at ways to sabotage the EU’s satellite project and prevent the transfer of technology and expertise from the UK to the EU

How are they getting it up there when we don't have any rockets of our own that can launch the thing?
Could possibly use our Trident system for something other than completely nothing i suppose.
As to a strong and stable Britain after Brexit???
This nation will be on its arse for at least two decades to come, and then on its knees for the next 50 years.
Brexit is for Tories and rich people, the rest of us better invest heavily in Petroleum jelly and learn to bend over.
I read that as "Yeah we've got other mates as well EU", and further up in the statement it mentions Falklands/Ascension islands ground infrastructure. Good old fashioned British diplomacy really saying, try it and we'll cut you off on the ground.
Satellites and space-based services provide communications, imagery, precision targeting and friendly force tracking for the Armed Forces. As the reliance on satellites continues to grow, any disruption could lead to severe consequences, whether by natural or man-made hazards, or intentional threats from hostile states. The Defence Space Strategy will examine how we can work with our allies across NATO and the five-eyes partnership to protect and defend our mutual space interests.
