I'm advocating for a FULL ban. Nobody gets a gun. All deadly weapons that are turned in well be melted down and used for public transportation projects. I'm open to considering other incentives to hand in your weapons... Tax write offs?

Why the frig does the US insist on having guns given the hellish result of guns?

I live in the UK and I am horrified by mass gun killings and the USA breeds them.

Why doesn't the USA ban guns?

That's just OPs found in a few minutes of Googling. I skipped over any of the usual mid-thread worthless opining I found multiple examples of, and opted to focus on the worthless thread starters purely because they were the premise of entire threads calling for bans of firearms.

Sounds about right, I'm likely one of them.

Semi automatic rifles are unescarry in city and suburban life, they are cool and fun, but not needed. Country folk have different needs and have lots of uses for all manner of guns . Anyway I will Shutup now as I'm drifting from the topic of fishing, I mean fisting.

1st I am for stricter laws regarding guns but not an all out ban.

2nd If anyone has asked for a total gun ban, well then, they are idiots because there are too many guns out there. No possible way to know who has one and who has doesn't because gun owners do not like the government knowing what they have or how many.

3rd It is also idiotic to ask for a gun ban in order to stop mass killings, because mass killings would be needed in order for a get these guns, when there are idiots out there who think that keeping their weapons is more important than their own lives.
