If that guy from Kansas State gets recognized for his liquid polymer silizane high temp ceramic (you can partially heat it up, mold it, inject mold
it, shape it, all before final firing all while controlling the shrink-dink nature of the polymer) he would realized he is sitting on a gold mine! Not
just jet engines, but car engines, supercritical CO2 turbines, heck, even wind turbines! It would truly change what we see as a "modern" world to a
really, real modern world. Any pipe moving any type of liquid... I mean the uses are near endless.
That would remove the "difficult to work with" part. Either as a coating or whole pieces. Again, maybe a bit too soon from the lab to the real world.
But what is "conspiracy site" without a little speculation?
This just popped up!
FAA issues a new order - stars and stripes (stripes.com), May 16, 2018 -
US orders faster inspection of jet engines
linked to death.
They move the timeline up to June 30th.
