The RCMP are useless...fun fact...you only need to be 16 and not even a high school graduate to sign up for the RCMP.

Though I understand why they did it, and can't say I wouldn't have done much much worse to the man, I'm not surprised to see they may face charges, that "trapping" was also the vibe I got from watching the initial video when it was posted here.

They should have just 'disappeared' this guy.

No police involvement needed and justice served.

Even here in the states what the parents did could have resulted in charges. Defense of self / others / your residence is contingent on unlawful entry and a threat. Not to mention by inviting the predator over, allowing the guy to see the inside of the house and what not, places the kid in even more danger (possibly rising to endangering the welfare of a minor). Civilians can use force for defense but this guy was invited over. How can you justify force when you extend the invitation to come over?

Dont get me wrong I understand the frustration. I just dont see how the actions were remotely helpful.

The mom lured (so invited) the man there then they attack him. That seems to make them the law breakers at that point.

Cops do the same thing all of the time. Have a female cop posing as a hooker and bust the perps that take the bite. I call it entrapment but it must not be because they continue to do it.

PS: Entrapment must be OK when cops do it but not OK for a citizen to do it.

I'm pretty sure that they have to force you to do a crime that you wouldn't have normally done otherwise to be considered entrapment.

Except of course the police would have checked this sickos Instagram, found he was baited and then the parents would be up on a murder wrap.

It's all nice to talk like you are a vigilante, but you aren't, are you?

Ps. Oops? Post was meant for Cornish. Either way, it stands. You always see people talk big in these posts, but they know damn well if they were in a situation like this, they would also call the police. I'm all for this guy getting what is coming to him, butt the parents taking matters into their own hands are just going to wind them up in prison as well.

Yeah entrapment is when a person acting under color of law gets a person to take an illegal action that they would otherwise not do.

Like going to the bar and getting drunk. You go back to your car, crawl in the back seat and sleep. Cop wakes you up, you tell him whats going on and that your drunk, he tells you to leave the parking lot knowing your intoxicated and when you do his partner pulls you over and arrests you for drunk driving.

You can also run into issues if a cop tells a civilian to take a certain action. The person can actually be considered an agent of the state for certain situations by being ordered by cops to take an action.

So you are ok with the parents being victimized too? Charged with murder and all? Huh.

Figured you would have a little more sympathy.

i say it makes a good case for dont ask dont tell......if you get my meaning.

Guy shows up unannounced.....he wants to have illegal sex with your daughter......you say not gonna happen.....im assuming in order to hog tie the man that there was an altercation.....any person deranged enough to come to a girls house knowing the parents were probably there is probably mentally ill or a psychopath, take your pick , so thats what youre dealing with in trying to keep your family safe.....id say the dad did the most peaceful thing available under those circumstances besides offering up his daughter......

me? i would have hogtied him...taken his phone and gotten in his car.......driven out into the middle of nowhere and dropped it off where no one could find it.....after all, the police obviously dont care what happens to innocent people so why should they care what happens to a criminal?

sometimes honest good people are their own worst enemy

remember what jesus said "be wise as serpents, harmless as doves". maybe minus the harmless part on occasion.

Let's see. I suggested the parents would be up on murder charges for what you offered up as a solution. I asked if you were aware of that, to which you answered:

...and you know nothing about my world.

So you either aren't aware they could be arrested for murder, or simply don't care. Up to speed now?

And the Instagram exchange still nails you, off to prison for murder.

The daughter you were trying to protect now has two parents in prison and will grow up without them. Good job!

Ps. I'm not defending this sick f@#k in any way shape or form, he does deserve to be buried in a shallow grave, I simply think there are better ways to go about this than ruining even more lives than already are ruined.

Though the intent was innocently motivated, the execution however was misguided.

Speaking for myself, that perv and myself are very lucky. He's lucky that's not my daughter, and I'm lucky that's not my daughter; we'd both be in a bad way, but my daughter would be one-less-pedo safer.

Pedos are defective human beings whom don't belong in society. Line them up next to the terrorists and racists. Fire when ready...
