We arent related to cro magnom homo sapiens were still in Africa at that time. Later there was probably some interbreeding but they die out. Cro magnom was the second wave of hominids to leave africa. It is the third wave that mist humans today descended from.
Discovered in 1868, Cro-Magnon 1 was among the first fossils to be recognized as belonging to our own species—Homo sapiens. This famous fossil skull is from one of several modern human skeletons found at the famous rock shelter site at Cro-Magnon, near the village of Les Eyzies, France.

Data shows about 10 percent of our DNA comes from cro magnom. Homo sapiens is a group that has been expanded think of branches of a tree. Are branch is now Homosapiens sapiens. Heres this explains how modern humans were still in africa at the time of cro magnom.
Though if were going to continue qe should probably make a new thread.

Ancient modern men---previously known as Cro-Magnon men--- were essentially modern Homo sapiens. They would be unrecognizable if you saw them on the street today if they wore the same clothes as everybody else.
