Goofy is good.

Funnily enough, I can do a passable Indian accent. I love the way they talk.

It wasn't a date. She was my old smoke buddy. She was the first one to come home after work. A good time to smoke. She's also half my age so there's that too.

It was my first visitor in more than 6 months. I thought letting her go again would be a "good thing".

I too love trees. And Asian food. It has flavour. Compromise....what is that?

Hey you, you are so lucky. That castle is very well preserved and old to boot. Ca. 1280.
I miss visiting castles, ruins, old buildings and ancient structures here in the US.
Every thing is so "new" here. Three-hundred years max and most of the Native burial sites and structures are demolished by "progressive" "colonials" it sucks.
Some times this seems like a land with out soul. But when I take time and hunt out remote places with bedrock and old trees and remain silent just listening I can hear a whisper and feel a subtle tremor of times past.
Times that regret being forgotten.

So you go be there, eight hundred years ago at "Turun Linna", the stones speak you know, of those you wrought them, built the walls and all the events inside and out.

Do it for me and tell me a tale.

….. found an applause.....

Oh good for you, I love getting them, it makes me want to do even better, listen and think about my input.
Congrats Timely. You are a gem, all though I don't know you that well I do know you have your heart in the right place.

How fixed is it ? Hehe !

Fixed, smixed, you know? It just keeps us on our toes. It is like a family, we all have our quirks.

As an example spellcheck rarely works here for me. I have to go through an elaborate dance so my writing isn't gibberish.
Over the years all sorts of glitzes occur but ATS is still going strong and that makes me happy.

How are you? Is life "Down Under" kind to you?

Life at the moment is in a holding pattern.

Waiting for that halt at the bottom so I can bounce back.

There are plenty worse off, so you wont hear me complaining.

Hope you are in a good place, you seem to have reached a philosophically calm place in life and good on you !

Peace and mung beans !

Hugs Please, Si Vous Plait, Mon Ami

My day has been ghastly so far. Well not all of it just the part where my Banshee manager …….
It "was" my day off, but the low life passive aggressive piece off (edit) couldn't even say, "Thank You" for covering this morning for some ones call in.

I went in at four thirty to clean and expected to be out by seven thirty.
She could have said thank you, nothing, nada. When I go to hell I expect her to be right there taunting me " I got here first"
I love my job, my boss is great, but the manager is the Devil Incarnate, she could manipulate a Saint, but not me, that is why I receive her unleashed wrath.

I will take a nap (after three glasses of wine) and swim with the dogs later.
Hugs Please and thoughts of calm.

Thank You. Did I tell you I love you?

Love as in, you are in my mind and heart, you matter to me, you pop up in my thoughts, in my dreams. You make me laugh and cry, you are ….you.

Just a quick note to say that I'm back from the weekend away... yup... it's Tuesday evening here and I'm just back!!
It was fantastic.
(Apart from my van windscreen (windshield) getting accidentally broken by some kids football!!!)

It's all fixed now, and everyone had a blast the entire loooooong weekend - I am now going to go lie down for a while!!
(I think nightstar saw a couple of the pics/videos on FB?)

Nice to be home, and I'll try and pop in later, if I am able....

Bungy Jumping are you mate, I know how that goes. We get to the middle of the rope and it all slows down, we get stuck, but then some one yanks the rope again and it all starts over again.

There are plenty worse off, so you wont hear me complaining.

Perhaps those "worse off" want to hear of one of us actually succeeding? I do. But I get your point. I am blessed with food and a home. Even though I live from pay check to pay check I count my self lucky, there are people in much worse conditions.

Beans are always good but you made me laugh with the "Philosophically Calm Place", perhaps I should think about that, I don't feel calm but alert, present, don't F with me.
Hmmm this is curiously interesting.
Now I must go nap.

I find a good way to get started is to constantly ask yourself: Am I dreaming now? How do I know I'm not dreaming?

If you make a habit of asking those questions, it will carry over into your dreams. Hope it helps

I had an outbreak of hives last night all up & down my arms. They're still there today, just a tad less raised and red, but still hot, itchy and burning like a bad sunburn.

Hives, WTH. I don't have allergies, I'm not allergic to anything. I didn't touch anything abnormal outside yesterday. Hell, I didn't touch anything at all outside yesterday aside from the grill and deck umbrella. I grilled burgers, but I angled the umbrella to cast a huge swath of shade my way to stay out of the sun. Nobody did any kind of cleaning, so I didn't come into contact with any cleaning chemicals. Those have never bothered me anyway, the household cleaning arsenal consists of windex, vinegar solutions, and occasionally when stuff like raw meat has contacted countertops, Lysol wipes. And bleach, but that's primarily for the once or twice a month load of white clothes (we don't have many white items) & the toilet.
I didn't eat anything out of the ordinary, either. I'm stumped, my husband's stumped. Benadryl isn't helping at all & neither is antihistamine cream. I'm well past being annoyed. It's not hampering anything I do, nor am I having any other kind of symptoms, it's simply ANNOYING to not know what the trigger was.

Are they in shapes of triangles by any chance ? They could be bed bug bites, but your husband would most likely have them as well. Hope you get it sorted out soon Nyiah, it sounds irritating.

Nope, they're asymmetrical, and plaque-sized -- as big as my hand is. They started out small little raised blotches, then joined to make the huge plaques. The weird thing is, when they were first noticed, it was one of the kids who pointed it out, "Hey mom, your arms are sunburned." They didn't start to itch/burn until a while later.

There's no bite marks that we could find, either, so I wasn't stung/bitten by anything. And yes, he gave me a thorough scalp check for ticks, too.

My husband's got 3 major allergies (bees, penicillin, and dairy) and he's had way more than his fair share of reactions from mild like itching/hives, to the "You're going to the hospital NOW" anaphylactic kind. Based on his experience with hives, he was comfortable calling mine a threshold-straddling mild to moderate reaction due to the size and lengthy persistence of them.

I hope your hives or rash or whatever it is heals up quickly! Stress can cause hives too or a new med or something. Just keep an eye on it.

There may be plenty worse off, but that shouldn't negate your own thoughts and feelings. Don't think of it as complaining, think of it as sharing. We all need a hug or a hand to hold sometimes. We all need to know that we have family here who cares. Hugs for you Sir Dave!
