A warm hug and hello for everyone! I will be sitting on the porch for a while later. I need some fresh air and to read for a while. Haven't even had lunch yet though. Only one cup of coffee won't do either, so those are my priorities.

What is the cat like? does he/she like to talk? I had a long conversation with my friend's cat this morning. I didn't understand her meow language but i figured out that she wanted chicken slices that i had bought her.

What they say about Siamese cats is true, they talk a lot...A LOT! LOL


This is Kya. The pic is a bad one, but the only one I have for now. He looks like he has short legs and he has nice long legs. He has a pointy face and beautiful blue eyes. He is very vocal and loving and adores attention. He loves people. We took him in at the age of 7 and it's like he's been with us forever.

You mentioning having a long conversation with your friend's cat. Love it! And you brought the cat chicken. I bet you made a friend for life right there. I always talk to my pets.


One thing I was grateful for is that he uses his scratching post. Huge relief for us as other cats have torn up curtains, furniture, screens etc.

Ok my Lovelies, I will venture out to the porch with a good book and get my sunshine and fresh air now. Behave while I'm gone.

A painfully true toenail story

10 years ago, in the irritating heat of the summer I am trying to fall asleep. It's late and difficult and hot. I'm almost there, but something is disturbing my complete comfort and it's underneath my big left toe. I gently push it away but to no avail. I'd had a few beers the night before, I might add.

I shuffle round a bit but I'm still on my stomach and I can still feel something under my big left toe! Schnazzle Frazzle... I decide to give it a kick and end up sending my skewed nail back into my toe with great force. I had just kicked the wooden frame of the bed. I walked around like a cripple for a while. After 5 years I went to a doctor. She gave me a paper with Latin on that would get me the operation in a hospital. Then she explained what they would do in that operation.

I never went so still have my beautiful ingrown toenail. The pain lessens after the first 5 years.

Funny thing. That is actually my definition as well. If it's dark, it's night, even if it's 4am in the morning...still night.

My body hates clocks anyway.
